Hi, why would you be passport request exempt?

If you don't need a visa to visit Canada as a tourist, they won't ask for your passport

Congratulations!!!

Sorry to talk about immigration, but hey it's an immigration forum after all. Now you have another proof for the Visa Office if needed :)

wow, congrats to Gr_mehratora, very good news indeed... less than 4 months, ND is soooo quick!!!

nicelina, congrats to you too... a new chapter has begun! :)

My wife (sponsor) called CIC today to find out what progress there is with our application and she was told that the application has been processed and that we should hear from the London VO for a PPR soon. When my wife asked if that meant that we had been accepted for PR, the CIC woman said that she couldn't say that.
:D

how many weeks after your application says received on E-cas does it goes into processing.

what's the average processing time for London VO?

Thanks miniejungle, average London VO waiting time (total) is 165 days and I'm at 122 days (total).
At least we got to speak to someone who wasn't just reading from a script. Fingers crossed.

Anyone in June from Quebec, just wanted to give a heads up. I filed with MICC and sent the app on Sept 3, they received it Sept 4th (after receiving sponsorship approval from CIC on Aug 30).

MICC says that they aim to complete applications within 20 days, so given that it was more than that I gave them a call today. They said my undertaking and CSQ was officially approved today and should be received in the mail next week!! YAYYY!! :D

Now only down to the VO!

that's true, hope you share with us the good news soon!

i know mine is still not done for 2 missing docs: 1. singapore police check and 2. my new australian passport that can only be obtained after the citizenship ceremony on 31st oct. :( so whatever will only happen in nov or dec earliest...

wondering if someone could clear this up for me:

When sponsorship was approved for us, we checked the website using my boyfriends details (the applicant) it said 'application received' and 'medical received'.
We have been avoiding checking it as I know we have so long to wait, but I checked today and now his only says 'application received' and does not mention anything about his medical

Also the date it says received was the date it arrived in Canada. Is this date supposed to change when it arrives at the VO or does it remain the same throughtout the process?
Thanks
