It feels as though it is taking forever! We mailed everything on June 14, it arrived a couple days later, and still we haven't heard anything! Frustrating when my husband did his medical in march (or maybe it was April) and the Rome office takes up to 12 months. Already thinking of how he will have to redo the medical. Oh well, what can you do? Thats my rant for the day

I still havent heard from them, and they recieved my application on June 9 2011.
Mine was received on June 8th as well and I still have not heard anything back yet. They should start making decisions on these before moving on.I cant give you a time when you will hear something back, sorry. but hopefully soon for all of us.
I don't think so, they have our applications and are working on June applications. It's not like they're waiting on june apps to get there, they have them. they're just being really slow.

I think the postal strike had a cascade effect on all the subsequent applications post-strike. Keep in mind that when the strike hit there were applications being put on hold because of pending documentation being asked from applicants who could probably not turn them in because of the strike. Also, CIC most likely could not serve document requests on some applicants also because of the strike. All that combined did certainly have an effect on all current and later applications. I filed in July but I've heard from people as far back as April getting delays because either they did not receive notifications on time or could not get their document submissions because of the strike.
