Haha, hooray for tolerant bosses!

I mean, some persons have been asked to fill in the "new" Generic Application form (IMM008) as well as the Schedule A/Background Declaration in order to update their personal history, so ensure you know exactly what Rome requires. Just ask her if the visa office specified what form he was to fill in for the updated personal history. You don't want to give it to them in the wrong format and cause any unnecessary delays. ;)

Being convoked to an interview after being asked to pay the RPRF is an unusual turn of events. Until recently, I would have said improbable, but it has happened to someone. However, they are going through a different office, so I would say in your case it is unlikely now that he will be contacted for an interview.

Thank you Charlie!

haha. Yes working for a relative comes in handy!

Im so excited! I think I have called all my my family and friends. I resisted calling my husband since its nearly 1am his time, but I couldn't! Im so excited!!! I have already started working on everything. lol .

I will definitely make sure that he and I fill out the right form. Thank you for all your help!

1 fast question, once I pay the Permanent residence fee does it take 6 weeks to be processed? I had read that somewhere ..... I'm trying to calculate how long it will
Be until he gets his passport with the visa once we send it in.

Thank you!

It can take as much as 8 weeks, according to CIC.

We knew what we were getting into when we did not pay the RPRF upfront, but unavoidable circumstances... *sigh*
But I was also quite happy sticking my head in the ground and pretending that CIC loves me enough to hurry up on this one.
Been 3 weeks since we paid now. ;D

Hey June

Just thought I'd check in and see how you were all doing...

Just under 3 weeks until I land! and still so much to do... ???

Sending good luck wishes to all of you still waiting.
Hope you don't have to wait for too much longer!!

With 'medical results received' appearing October 15, and 'in process' showing up on December 6, we're all on tenterhooks at the moment.

I'm thinking the worst, of course, because that's the ray of sunshine I am. ^^

The PLUS side is that we've only been waiting 175 days, as of this day, with the median of being just sixteen more days away. Naturally there's a few holidays between here and there, and they may throw us a denial or interview, but we're crossing our fingers!

Hm. The tinyrul does not have our 'medicals received' October 15th. Guess I didn't mention it before. Apologies! =D

Congrats by the way, on the landings!

hi all!

finally got my passport back from buffalo. i thought the visa would be inserted in the passport, but what came was a huge triplicate printout form IMM 5292 (con) B (06-2004) - Confirmation of Permanent Residence. that has my photo attached to it, and a bunch of blanks i guess i fill out when i land.

there is also a doublesided photocopy of instructions. they sent back the empty envelope my photos were in, and the sheet of paper with my name, height, eye color and file #, with the file # circled in red and some code written on it.

hoping to go down to the border and land in the next two weeks.

best christmas present!!!

happy holidays and speedy answers to all of you!

ddobro2, I have a question for you about the tinyurl Buffalo_Immigration chart you have as your signature, please?

Green means "YAY - DONE FOR THEM!" - They got their PPR and/or have landed.

Does yellow or orange mean anything in particular, or are they just colours to differentiate between folk?
Also: I'm terribly sorry that you have not as yet been approved. You folk have been at it for SEVEN months and a bit!

Sincerely happy for those that have gotten their ppr, and/or have landed. ^^
(Yeah, and am a little envious of them in the July/August/September applications that have been approved before ours. XD I'm trying not to be tooooo grumpy or anxious about our app. =D)

Thanks, hobby. I default them as orange and then when and if someone gets AOR, I change it to yellow. That's how sparkle, who did the spreadsheet before me, had it, and I asked on here once if people want to keep those three categories and people seemed to be fine with it that way.

Wow this thread certainly got buried. I had to go to the third page to find it. Just wanted to say that I got my PPR today. So excited I think I'll do a little dance! Keeping my fingers crossed for anyone still waiting!
