hey guys...IS NBI CLEARANCE VISA TO CANADA A TOP REQUIREMENT FOR PR APPLICATION?
cause our main nbi offices has changes in their system now.and it will took them a month to give us a clearance if we have same name with other person...or can we just submit the nbi clearance when we already have a medical instruction? just to follow? please reply guys.thank you!!

Kabayan,

Since you mentioned NBI, I assumed you are from the Philippines! I am a Filipina based in California. I believe NBI Clearance is not required for the full docs to be submitted in CIO. Although they encourage us to include it in the application packet, but you can still submit your application without it. Once they process your application in CEM (Visa office in Manila) they will definitely require you to submit it. Usually, it comes with the Medical Request (all additional docs to be submitted if any).

:)

yes..my nbi clearance expired last month..so I have to renew but the clearance i applied in our province last june 20 will not be released until next month because of transition change in the comp.system.
but I applied here in manila to get a clerance but it will be released on thurs. We will send our application first in cio, nova scotia right? im also worried coz I heard it is too hard to apply in CIO when u came here in the phils

yes, all application packet has to be sent to CIO (with or without the nbi clearance) and they will determine the eligibility then they will forward your application to Manila. I read that you have an agency to help you out in your application, right?

Every application is treated the same way regardless of location/origin. So nothing to worry. As long as your application forms and supporting documents are complete, it will be processed. :)

Dear All,

For the PER step, I did take a look on MAY 2011 time line sheets and I realise that.
_ Firstly, it looks like CIO officers are working on MAY applicants around 18 to 20 MAY. Hopefully that this information was in JUNE and JULY will be faster.
_ Secondly, the waiting time for PER is likely increased from 37++ days to 50 days when they process to 18 MAY applicants.

So I take 50 days as the standard factor and calculate on my cases:

For example: sexyhippo received 22 JUN expected PER 11AUG
MUTAZAH received 1 JUN expected PER 20 JUL
AWAI ALI received 7 JUN expected PER 27 JUL

I went to the bank yesterday to check my DD and my bank in Singapore charged me 20 SGD :-\(= 18 USD) and 2 days to issue the report about my DD situation. Despite my explaination that I don't need this report, they said that they can not answer my question without the report so at last I could not get up date about my DD. May be I skip this DD checked and continue waiting for PER/NER in next month.

good luck you all,

wonderful. i am on familiar grounds
