Hi All...

I believe, we may find the NOc priority by checking each NOC's application recieved so far... some of the NOCs whose target has not been reached in the last year and till date again the application no. recieved are impressive...I am hereby attaching the URL link of NOCs and application no. recived so far..

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp

My NOC is 1233.. last year it has just reached about 150 to 200 and till date it is just floating at 49... So should I consider this NOC to be in demand and priority..

Seniors and experts kindly throw some light on this page..

Vikas..

Mine is also 1233 & last year it went upto 480 approx, no body can say about the priority given to the certain NOC's / Applications , my friend's NOC was 7216 & last year it went upto 80 approx , my friends application was given piriority but few people from the same NOC got PER in Sep 2010 still on RBVO >:( The way of working of the V O has become myth for us :o

That means you'll get a Permanent Resident card. There's no 'Green Card' in Canada - although PR is basically the same. You can get in and out without restrictions.

After 3 years living in Canada, you can apply for citizenship - that will allow you to be a citizen, to hold a Canadian passport and have all rights.

My consultant told me...

the visa i'll get is PR Visa and i need to land in canada within 60 days of visa issuance...

As soon as I land dere...I have to go to the canada govt office who will issue me a PR card...

but one of my friends told me its not true..i will get PR after completeion of 2 years stay in canada...

Would be really grateful, if u can throw some light...

hi merci and everybody,

the interview of my partner did not go well, because we did not have enough proof of mailing address (our utility bills and other relevant docs were damaged by the typhoon ondoy in 2009, although we submitted residency cert and lease contract), we provided some utility bills but not for the whole year. On October 27, our visa officer made a phone interview regarding my employment which lasted for more than an hour. After the interview, the officer told me that my partner and I did not satisfy the 12-month cohabitation rule of common law and if my application will push through, he will be removed from the application and will be eligible for family class sponsorship in the future. She further stated that she needs to look into my documents and will make her decision about my case.

So, after my partner's interview in Manila on october 25 and my phone interview on October 26 (october 27, manila time), we are expecting that our application will be refused. However, when I checked my ecas today, it says IN PROCESS and they started processing October 28.

Is it safe to assume that they will send my medical request soon? Is there any instances that a DECISION MADE or rejection letter will be issued despite the IN PROCESS status?

thanks mandie! i really hope that I will receive MR by next week not a refusal letter...

@ Vikas,
PR visa is valid for 6 months or expiration of medicals (whichever comes first). You are to land before the visa expires. Upon landing, the PR card is applied for and this is what use to enter/exist Canada in future. You can apply for citizenship when u have live in Canada for 3 out of the 5 years just like Developer had said.

I agree, that is a good sign and I'm hoping for you to get MR and not refusal. Good Luck!

That's correct. I made confusion with pr-CARD and pr-VISA.
