hi Guys,

The time frame of VO Singapore where process my docs is increase from 4 to 8 months or even longer time (up to 18 months) to process 1 application doc. The earliest update from another thread is they just notice that their Ecas change to "inprocess" after waiting for almost 7 months since March 2011 (Post JUNE 2010 case).

SO keep wait and wait .... live to too long :(

Good luck my friends,

My status has been RBVO since 07-Sep-2011. But I've not received 2nd AOR yet. Is it usual?

Not every VO sends 2AORs. Some request additional docs before MR. So there is nothing to be worried about. Just wait patiently for your VO.....Mandie

Mandie,

Please explain a bit about "In Process", it seems we are mixing three types of "In Process":
Before PER
After PER
After RBVO

I read in July 01, 2011 thread:
• Before PER , in process means process for eligibility review is continued
• After PER , in process means process sending to VO is continued
• After RBVO , in process means processing in VO is continued
from farrukh ahmad, is this correct?

I get your point, but unfortunately, not all applications get processed in the order mentioned above. Some have gone straight to 'in process' after PER, others by passed the RBVO stage while others go thru all the stages. What is a fact though is that we should rely on the reality on the ground as ecas sometimes does not give correct stage of our applications. Someone had MR/RPRF when status was still RBVO. I must mention that RBVO is also part of 'in process'.
The most reliable 'in process' status is the one that gives you the date VO started processing. For instance:
"...we started processing your application xxxx....", that is a proper 'in process' which definitely leads to MR.
I also looked at the July tracker, maybe that is how they decided to make their tracker understandable. It may also be the reason why there were so many 'in process' on that tracker. ...Mandie

@ Xnista,
This might shed some light on why not to completely rely on ecas:

Q12: What exactly does "in process" mean?

A12: "In process" is the status given to any application that has been received at a case processing centre or a visa office but that has not yet been finalized. Therefore, for the duration of the Application Processing Time, CAS will show the status as "in process."

Q13: Why has the status of my application not changed even though it has been a long time since I submitted it and I know that things have happened with my file?

A13: It is normal for some actions to not be reflected in CAS for many weeks due to the volume of information received at the visa offices and the case processing centres.
In many cases, an in-process file is actually waiting in a queue for initial review as applications are handled in the order they are received and on a case-by-case basis. The waiting time in this initial queue can be lengthy, depending on the standard processing times. Applications are processed according to the Application Processing Time at a given location.

In addition, other actions happening to your file are not shown on CAS (example: security checks) so it may appear as though nothing is happening to your file.

Indeed. Seems like we entered in the longest phase of the process (except for those lucky guys in Manila!).

Cheers.

I applied under FSW2 category and my application reached at CIO office on 6th September 2011 received by someone name Glen Miller and my fees payment mode is credit card. which is not get charged yet. So just getting little bit worried about things. Its almost six weeks. Is this much time is normal for completeness check or they going to send the application back?

Hi shanu,

CIC normally take from 8 weeks or some time longer time to complete the first checking step on your docs. After this time you will receive an email from them. You have at least 2 to 3 weeks more to receive the letter from them. your credit card should be charged anytime from now on. In order to prepare for the smooth transaction from CIC, I suggest you contact with your bank and notice them that you are looking for a transaction from Canada in next a few weeks so they will send you a notice about the transaction. Otherwise, some bank might block the transaction just because they think that is a fraud.

Good luck,

Hi there,

Thanks for the reply, I already notify my bank about the upcoming transaction from cio. This is just to eradicate unnecessary fear in cases when they send incomplete application package back, how long does they usually takes?
Just checking whether i am out of that phase or not?

Thanks!
