Hi All, is anyone still in the background verification in progress? I did the test on OCT 6th and it was marked completed the day after. Usually people are getting finger print requests if BG takes a long time but I received none and the background is still in progress. Anyone experience the same? Is this normal?
Normal is 17 months according to the IRCC website.

Only a select few get FP request in order to complete the BG check, and the timeline usually varies based on the office your application is being processed at.

Yeah AFAIK that's what they say in the invitation document. 2-5 business days. This is e-cert people who want paper copy will have to wait 4-6 weeks
thanks bud......

if oath is thursday/friday, then even e-certicalte will be in a week in average I think! but definitely better than 4-6 weeks

Hi Guys, I applied for my citizenship on the 21st, took the citizenship test on Sep 15th, and submitted my fingerprints on Sep 20 or something, which they received on Oct 5th. A few days ago, on October 27th, there was a few updates on my tracker, but nothing has been changed. Is this something normal, considering it has been almost a month since my background check was completed, and nothing else changed, nor have I received a ceremony date. Should I wait, or I better do something? Thanks a lot, and sorry for the long text lol.

Hi! This morning I got an update and I was scheduled for an interview with an officer on November 27th. Does anyone have experience with interviews or what are they for? In my case, I guess it’s because I travelled quite a few times outside Canada, could that be?

My office is Mississauga and my BG and Citizenship test are completed.
