Hello. I just received citizenship test invite. Everything is still in progress. I was expecting at least BG check to be completed before this. Not sure how common this is.

I'm July 1st online applicant. BG completed on Nov 30 and got test invite on Dec 2nd. This is a surprise Need to practice a lot now for test.

Did you receive test invitation on Dec 2 while Tracker (https://tracker-suivi.apps.cic.gc.ca/en) still indicated your application with 'Background verification - In progress' ?

Is the Test online and can be given from anywhere or a person needs to go to the test center?

Anywhere anytime between the test window. You can give at 2:00 AM.

You need to sit in lighted environment amd have a video(web) cam which can record you during the test so they can check recording to ensure you did not cheat.

Hi! We seem to have a very similar timeline and we are also a paper based family application, processing center is also in Halifax. We took our tests on Nov 5th and have not gotten a test completed status yet. Did you end up calling them or did the update come on its own?

Everyone does not get an interview request. However, pre-pandemic everyone had to attend an interview after they completed the test. For interview related experience, you can check this thread -
