Hi everyone - I applied June 2020, there is a thread but the people in it are not very active. My status has changed to "in process" - medicals completed and sent two weeks ago, biometrics done also - I am from England applying inside Canada :) - does anyone know what the next step is? :)

Hi, I am a Jan 2021 applicant. I received biometric reminder email with an Application number that starts with an F00.... Is that considered a prospective AOR or temporary application number?
That's temporary application number.
Next time you will hear from them in 5-6months...

Hi, I applied on July 7th and received my AOR via email on 18th Feb. Just want to know if anyone has applied for OHIP card on AOR? I called service ontario and they said I could bring in confirmation letter + my drivers license (proof of residence) and apply. However, at the end the people there have a final say.

Hi! This is actually not the case, so double check it with service ontario. The letter that you can apply for OHIP is NOT the AOR, it is a totally different document, coming way later in the PR process, stating that your PR is approved in principle. The AOR DOES NOT make you eligible for OHIP, unfortunately. Service Ontario needs one of the two specific documents in order to apply for OHIP: IMM5292 or IMM 5688. These letters are called "COPR", basically confirming that you are going to get PR. It is sooo confusing and I have had the exact same issue so I really digged into that. Unfortunately no OHIP with AOR.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I actually called them and they said I could apply so I wrote here to confirm. Anyway, I did go to Service Ontario and they said I require AIP. Hopefully we will have something in regard to OWP soon. Cheers. :)

So if I understand correctly, they confirmed that you need "approval in principle", right? (Which is the document I was referring to!?) Fingers crossed there will be a progress with OWP soon, I have the same issue here :)

I don’t understand my application also starts with F00 and I got temporary Application number in September which starts with XF00, they remove the X now and send me new application number with UCI number. Email said you can check ur application status. But according to you it’s not real AOR ? I’m confused
