Hi, all

Anyone from Vancouver? I have not received any update since they started processing my application Oct 2019. The next steps would be knowledge test and oath, correct?
They may ask more info depends on cases. Next step should be test then oath

How would one know whether they are in the Vancouver office or Surrey office? For instance - I live in Vancouver & gave my test in Surrey. My test was on Feb 19th. So earlier than yours. No oath invite as yet. A bit eager as my PR card expired this week. So would have to apply for that as well now. I see the processing time for a new PR card is 6 months which is another dilemma.

Congratulations to you though, so happy for you :)

Hello everyone. Did anyone apply for passport as of yet? How much time is it taking for the passport to be issued. I had applied for it last week.
Did you apply in person or by mail? If by mail do we have to send original citizenship certificate with the application form?

I got test at the end of Feb in Vancouver, and the oath ceremony scheduled at the end of March but got cancelled. Recently got the virtual oath invite. I think after cleaning up the backlog of those cancelled oath, you will be next turn. Good luck!

@buzztreat - Thank you!
The office where you gave the test is usually your processing office. I think in your case the Vancouver office had high volume so your file was transferred to the Surrey office. Also, you can call IRCC to confirm your processing office.

At this point it's hard to predict when anyone will get their oath invite. I had DM from March and didn't get an invite until now and I'm sure that they're others who are waiting much longer than you, if you read other threads on this forum. But at least it seems like the backlog is being reduced at the Surrey office now. I guess it all comes down to the speed and efficiency of your case officer. Best wishes, hope you get your turn soon. Cheers!

Yes the instructions clearly states to send original certificate. Only supporting IDs (driver license & health card) can be photocopied but has to be verified by your guarantor.

In person application is only by appointment for special travel e.g. emergency or job related. It is all online
