Finally its all complete.
Had oath today at 11 but was allowed in the meeting after 15 minutes of wait. It kind of freaked us.
But after we got in, the documents were verified. After that we were moved in another room with 26 other families and the judge.
Judge explained us our rights and responsibilities followed by the oath in both the languages.
Then we were sent back to our officer who made us sign the oath form and cut our PR cards into 4 pieces.
And then its complete.
Then it will wait for the citizenship certificate followed by the Passport application (whenever they open Service Canada)

From which office your application got processed and what is ur timeline.

My timeline is as follows:

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on July 10, 2019.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on September 17, 2019.
3. We started processing your application on October 29, 2019.
4. We sent you a notice on December 2, 2019 to appear and write the citizenship test on December 23, 2019 at 8:15 AM.
5. DM: December 24, 2019
6. First Oath Invite: August 12, 2020
7. Virtual Oath Date: August 18, 2020

Urgent Processing/Essential Worker/Special - No
ECAS - DM (no indication that the invite was sent via email)

My journey is officially over. I took my oath today at 11 am in Calgary. The whole ceremony took 15 minutes (make sure to have a pair of scissors handy to cut your PR card). Good luck everyone. It will be said and done very soon.

Hey, Did anyone got the email and time for oath on 20th Aug? My oath scheduled for 20th but didn't get any email yet. I called today and they don't have any information about the timing.

2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on October 10, 2019.
3. We started processing your application on November 21, 2019.
4. We sent you a notice on January 2, 2020 to appear and write the citizenship test on January 15, 2020 at 10:01 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
5. DM - 16th Jan 2020.
6. Virtual Oath Invite - August 6, 2020,
7. Virtual Oath Date - August 14, 2020.
8. You became a Canadian citizen on August 14, 2020.

Congrats. Looks like YYC is moving quickly. Trying to figure out the timeline of everything though. You had received an oath invite before everything shut down and took your test the day after I did...I hadn't received anything yet. I guess I will just keep my phone on me and email open and hope for the best. I hate being in limbo.

Hi Caitlyn, We both are sailing in same boat. I still have not received anything yet. My exam was on Jan 22nd 2020. I did not receive Oath letter earlier also.

Do you mean 7.30 am is your virtual session time? If that's the case then good to know and it looks like they are covering up for the lost time between March and July by doing overtime.

Yes 7:30 AM is my Oath Ceremony scheduled. Thanks. They are trying to cover up long backlog for sure and virtual ceremony definitely makes it faster.

I just received a notice to attend virtual citizenship oath ceremony on 17th August, 2020. City is Edmonton. Application delivered 25th July, 2020. Test on 21st February 2020, DM on 28th February, 2020. Not previously invited for oath. I wish you all the best.

Hi, my oath went well. I was alone and the entire ceremony was just about 30 mins.
