Congratulations, @Ajkenniek

Like the pals here said, not everyone receives FP requests. From my personal observation, if you don't get it within 2 months from being "in process", that means that most probably you won't be asked for one, and that you will directly get your test invite.
I'm also from Halton, got in process on Nov 6th and got my FP request on Nov 25th.
My case is in process since Oct 30th after that no information no FP request, I am hoping for direct test invitation.

We used Commissionaires in Hamilton for my wife. They printed electronically and it automatically sends to RCMP for processing. The officer in the Commissionaires office then notifies CIC via e-mail that the prints have been completed and sent off, he took a copy of the notification to extract the reference number's needed for CIC to identify the application. Note, should take a couple of weeks maximum but can take less time as longs as their are no flags. CIC won't process complete your application without the RCMP check complete.
Hey thanks for writing, i did mine on 23rd dec at commissionaires as well here at ottawa. The officer here at ottawa did not sent an email to cic to advise them about the prints, maybe, they work differently here. Hopefully, RCMP process it soon as holidays are almost over.

Updated the entries for both @Soska & @MuhibPeerzada.
Congrats., gents. :)
Merci )

I have a test on Jan 11, I was wondering whether my like 50 trips would affect the whole thing. I stated my every trip in the application and can explain all the trips, and it took a few pages, and I hear that in the interview people show the original documents and the officer checks if the trips were stated correct.
Can that be a problem?
I was traveling as a single woman.

It will not be an issue if you have stated the correct dates in your application. Not every country stamps a passport so that cannot be used as total proof for all trips. CIC will also run checks against your travel documents to validate the information you have provided is correct. When we did our test they never looked at our passport or asked about the days in country. Every situation seems to be slightly different.

Hi All
My wife and I have got test date of 16th Jan in Toronto 1:30 pm.
Can people who have already taken the test advise
1. At what time we should reach the test center to have sufficient time to go over the document verification process before the test.
2. I applied for my 6 yr old child as well in the same application set whose application status still shows processing. Do I need to take my child also with her documents for verification or not required as she has not been invited. I am aware she is not required to write test but want to know about her documents verification with parents.
Plz advise
We arrived about 20 minutes before the test, that should be sufficient. I believe CIC recommend arriving less than 1 hour before, they book test times back to back so the waiting area can be congested. If your 6 year old did not get and invite and if there is nothing written in the letter from CIC regarding your 6 year old then there would be no need to attend. There would be no place for the child in the test room.

Hi chaps,

I need some advice please. Our application is in process since 21st Oct. We have moved to the UK temporarily, duration of stay unknown.

1. How do I change our address? I cannot change it on ECAS since it only allows entry for a Canadian address.

2. My correspondence address is that of a Canadian neighbor who receives our mails. Do I still need to change our address?

3. If I wanted to call CIC for advice at any point regarding this, what is their number? #1354 on page 91 gives a number...will that work?

Thank you very much in advance. Cheers.

Ramesh

The number to call for advice is 1-888-242-2100. Have your UCI or application number available.

Some of the correspondence, such as test dates etc come via e-mail. Assuming you have an e-mail address? Some correspondence may come by mail, example FP requests often show up via regular mail.

If you have already registered a Canadian correspondence address then you should be OK.

You will have to return to Canada to complete your test.

Thank you.

Yes, we have registered email and correspondence addresses.

I have informed my employer that I will need short notice leave for the test and ceremony.

I will call the number to confirm once I have some change in my ECAS status.

Cheers.
