Does anyone have any idea how many (on average) spousal sponsorship applications are filled in a month? Why do they have 1000s of applications?

hahaha! I would have believed 100s....1000s is a little far fetched at this point. Going forward, given the higher immigration targets, I think the sponsorship applications would also increase in a corresponding manner. Right now I feel it might just be a matter of understaffing or unfamiliarity with outland applications........

Question. I haven't received AOR yet, however I was able to link my application to my account today (September 28th). It was received July 12th. Status only says that it was submitted, so I don't quite know what this all entails at this moment. Because I was able to link it, does this mean my application is not going to be sent back for any possible missing information or wrong forms, etc?

I just clicked "add (link) your application to your account". And then I entered the info it asked for. Permanent residence, family class (spouse), entered in my family name, given name, and date of birth. Then entered my passport info, where I'd be living in Canada, my marital status, and then entered 2 (I believe) for number of family members included in the application (which would be me the PA and my husband, the sponsor)

YES that's is good news for you. It means your info was updated on the system but they did not send any e-mail to you yet. Also it's only JULY 12's case. SO it is true no doubts, and your package is OK. Nothing wrong they will ask for Medicals anytime.

Other words they are taking almost 3 months to just upload on web thou NO AOR1 yet . Could have been little early for very few. From 12th JULY to date took 78 days from date of recvd. They used to take only maximum of 45 days while in Mississauga. Lets hope they will pick up some sort of speed. But they admitted that your app is in on 28 SEPT today. U R still waiting for AOR 1 total days will be bit more; a week more may be. But its a Good News that your app was waiting after opening> has been fully reviewed by an officer STAGE 2 . Nothing wrong so far.

From my understanding, I don't think so? I think it warns not to link if you have a rep. The rep I think should have an account and the app gets linked to that account. But I could be wrong, I didn't use a rep
