Hi Everyone,

We submitted our app July 29 (signed for at Mississauga) and we still haven't got AOR1 (though it seems that people just before us were only getting it Friday, 25 day average or so).

However, I was able to link our application in myCIC from my husband's old UCI from a WHV many years ago. Here it shows almost no information yet, but we do have an application number for the PR app. Can we interpret an application number as good news? We are a bit on edge as we missed the update to IMM 1344 just days before we submitted, so very worried the whole thing gets sent back

To be honest, I have no idea but I'd like to think that it's at least moving forward if you received an application number. Were you able to check the application status using that number and your personal info? As for getting the whole packet back, it wasn't so bad in hindsight (other than time). God forbid that it does, but should it make a return visit to you, hopefully they'll include a reason as to why they returned it. The call centre agents are pretty decent at telling you what's going on. And if you get stonewalled by one, call back and get another one that'll actually help! Good luck!

Hey guys, I just got off the phone with CIC and they told me that I've been approved as a sponsor on August 18th, but that I should have received an email. I was too ecstatic to ask any other questions, but the thing is that I didn't receive any such email. Should I call them back or should I just wait for it?

WOW!! That was quick processing for you!! I got my AOR on July 21, processing started July 20, which I believe is just 2 days from yours. Congratulations!!! Crossing my fingers that this might mean good news for me too, hahahaha. ;D ;D

If you have linked your application to MyCIC, you get an update ("Eligibility" changes to "in progress") as soon as your sponsorship gets approved. Otherwise, you can call CIC and ask the status of your application.
(I got the update email last Friday. My application was received on July 7)

Oooooh, okay. Yeah, I have not been able to link my application to MyCIC account yet. So I have just been checking with ECAS which currently says "In Process" under the Sponsorship Application Status.
Maybe I will give them a call.

Hi everyone my wife' application received july 5 2016 and they started the application july 21 2016 and now it showing in process....lets see for the next update....any one got update so please post here Thanks everyone and Goodluck

Hi all! We submitted July 28 and our application was received in Mississauga on July 29th (we did courier so it had to be signed for). We received our AOR on August 19th and our profile online now says the started processing my sponsorship application on August 18th!

This was a HUGE relief for us as we had initially sent our application in June 28 and had ti sent back to us on July 21 because there was an issue on one of the forms

Very happy and relived to have the ball rolling!! We are Outland UK, applying from Ontario Canada!!

My partner did his medicals upfront so now we are just waiting for SA and anxious about which visa office his app. will get sent to!!!

Hi all,

Woke up this morning to an email from CIC informing me that I have gotten sponsorship approval!! Our file is being sent to VO Manila for PA processing.

Timeline:
Application received: July 18th
AOR from CIC: Aug 5th
SA: Aug 23rd
