May I ask when the deadline is for your wife to land in Canada? Our honeymoon runs until April 26 so I'm wondering if we can still push through or maybe cut it a bit short
they gave her until May.

Congratulations! You will receive email from cic soon regarding ppr.

Hello

Just got an email from CIC requesting my wife's passport. Gave us 30days to submit the info back to CIC.

Is this good news?
Is this it?
Does this mean my wife is approved for PR?

I checked online for my wife's status it still shows "in process".

THX

Dko,

Was this the email you received?

The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, your permanent residence visa. If for any reason you are not able to meet this deadline, please inform us immediately by email to: hkongimmigration@international.gc.ca with details concerning your situation.

If so then yes, your application was approved. Congratulations! It seems that CIC sent you a Passport Request but forgot to update your ECAS file.

I think most of us here are at or near the end of the process. My wife sent her passport to Beijing. She got an email back the next day with confirmation and a tracking number. Much better than waiting in silence for five months :)

Leaving china,

Can I ask you how did you or your wife make the payment to the Beijing VAC? And how much is the amount?
Did u use EMS to mail her passport?

Thx

Hi leaving china, yes this is the email.
Wow the process is almost complete. I'm so excited!

Dko,

My wife paid by bank transfer to their account in Beijing. We paid 200 RMB. The actual figure is closer to 180 RMB (passport transmission service charge + courier fee), but the website is confusing, so we sent extra to be safe.

The bank information is here:

ENGLISH (look under "Methods of Payment")

Hello,
Yes that website is super confusing with all the different fees for different services.
Ok I will pay a little extra just be on the safe side. Today I tried the "live chat" option from that website, keeps saying I'm 2nd in the queue then all of a sudden it shows a message that the office is closed. So frustrating!
So I sent an email but apparently it takes 3 business days to get a reply.
Can I ask you what kind of courier service did u use? EMS? Or other courier company?

Thx
