Good news!

recieved this email this morning:

Your application has reached the final stage of processing. So that your permanent resident

visa(s) can be issued, you must now submit the documents listed below. (Note that family

members who are entitled to Canadian citizenship must travel on their Canadian passports.)

1. Two recent photographs of yourself and two recent photographs of each of your

accompanying family members. The photos must meet the Photo Specifications as detailed

in Appendix A.

2. The “Updated Information Chart” in Appendix B, fully completed for you and each

accompanying family member.

3. A photocopy of the photo and personal information pages of your passport and of the

passport(s) of your accompanying spouse and dependent children to our office in London.

ECAS still hasn't updated beyond "medical results have been recieved" but it looks like the wait is over! thank you to everyone on this board for your advice and help, this is what has kept us going the last few months, thank you again and good luck to everyone still waiting on PR :)

One final question, our lawyer says we should send all this documentation to the London VO but this along with a stamped addressed envelope to return to PR is going to be up near $100, however the email states if I am in Canada (which I am) we can mail it to the processing centre in Ottawa should we do what the lawyer says or send the final documents to Ottawa?
This is a decision made! Congratulations! On the London spreadsheet your location is down as Birmingham UK but you are in Canada now, can I have your current city, province in Canada so I can update the spreadsheet?

Exciting to hear so many are getting responses! Hopefully that is good for the rest of us :)
I know ours will be a couple weeks since we had to pay the Right to Residence fee.
Still sounding promising though! and MUCH better than CIC estimated 16 months or whatever it is! haha

Definitely a good sign, we got our SA in mid September and had to do CSQ (for Quebec) and the whole process was 6 months from the moment we sent our application instead of the quoted 11 months.

Does anyone know where I have to go once my permanent residency is issued? Because if I had landed at the airport I would have to go to the visa office and go through the landed immigrant paperwork but as I'm already in Canada how would I go about this?

you need to drive to a land border, either "flagpole" with the US border (which means they just turn you around, though it's been recently reported the canadian agents don't like people doing this), or enter the us and drive back to do your landing interview at the canadian border.

Thanks for that :) My wife goes to Plattsburgh shopping so I can go with her and do my permanent residency on the way back :)

Doing my landing tomorrow on my way back to Canada after a visit with my family for New Years. I'm nervous about it because I don't really know much of anything about the process and I don't know what sort of questions they'll ask, not that I have anything to hide by any means. I'm simply nervous because it's an unknown and I've seen a lot of different experiences for people.

Best of luck to everyone here and I'll let everyone know how it goes for me.

Don't worry you'll be fine! I hear you even get a nice little Canadian flag from the customs officer. It's a like a child going to the dentist and getting a lollypop at the end of it!

they ask you the questions written on your COPR and what your canadian address will be. it's a 10-15 min. process.

Hey everyone! I have a quick question concerning those that had requests of additional information that happened to send it in by email. My husband and I just sent in our additional information for Proof of our relationship, and we were wondering if we'd possibly get confirmation that they received the email we sent in. Do they do that, or should we just call in around Tuesday? Any ideas? Thanks guys and Congrats to Mysticmidnight for landing!

no, generally the visa office does not confirm receipt of information sent to them. it's more like a hope and prayer. calling CIC isn't going to do any good, because at this point your application is at the visa office, and the call center will not have information regarding whether they received your documents. all you can do at this point is wait.

Thanks so much, I really hope they actually got it then, it took me about 30 of my 60 days to actually come up with the information... What with the Christmas season and all. Now back to the waiting! Thanks again!

Thanks everyone. And the immigration part wasn't bad at all, took like 10 minutes, but no little Canadian flag for me.

The part that took forever was the declaration of my goods. That took like half an hour standing there talking to the guy going over the forms, and he was explaining everything he was doing (which was pretty nice actually) but just took forever to get through. Also I kept getting asked if I was planning on bringing a car into Canada with me (to which I replied no because I don't have a driver's license let alone a car) and they would ask me if I was sure afterwards. Overall not too bad, just some things seemed to take forever. Glad it's all over now.

Best of luck to all the rest of the July applicants.

What do you mean going over your declared goods? Did they check all the times you had declared to make sure they matched?

Did you have your b4 form filled out before hand?

BTW congrats :)
