Were you yourself in Canada during the time of the request?

yes i was. i think that is why we were able to get them for free.

I ordered through privacy act first, thinking the same thing.
DOES not work unless the applicant is a resident of canada or citizen. Or at least after the 30days thats what they emailed me saying. You HAVE to apply through the access act. I signed giving my husband consent and everything. NOPE.
But we are both living in the USA. He's never been a Canadian resident. He's going through this hell all because I want to live back in Canada lol Poor guy.

Just apply through access act, makes your life easier. $5 might give you that state of mind.

Yep that is the reason....My wife is abroad so I get to "donate" every time that I would like to see the file updates lol

Does anyone know if they update the online accounts everyday as you receive
"in process" or "decision made", or weekly on Tuesdays. I can't remember what or where I read something like that.

Hi.. I am a november applicant and I thought someone from here might have some information about my question.
So, we already got SA and app has been transferred to VO abroad.
Yesterday, I got an email requesting this: Certified Criminal Record Check (Civil Fingerprinting Screening) issued by the RCMP.
I am going to get that done on Monday.
I was wondering how long it takes to get the results since it's for immigration purpose?
On the police website it says: If you need the Criminal Record search for school or employment reasons remember the process can take upwards of 12 to 16 weeks to complete. So I guess it won't take 12-16 weeks because it's for immigration purpose, am I right?
did anyone go through this?
