July 2014 Citizenship test takers (Scarboriough office)

hi all,

I am starting this thread for all of them who took the citizenship test on the 17-Jul-2014.

I called the CIC call center and they informed me that it will take up to 6 months for the oath.

any of you guys have an update?

I took the test at Scarborough local office myself on 17-july, we were told during the test we will receive the oath notification within 2 months.
so I guess it's kinda early to start worrying now.

Yeah Guys,

Sometimes i feel like its too early to start worrying .. but I'm really worried about being RQd ... RQs lengthen your time for your passport by a year.... I really want to move on with my life.


Took Test July 9 - Scarborough - No updates - Called CIC - Told to wait up to 6 months - going to do ATIP

Standard statement on the blackboard on the test day of 2-4 months' waiting.

GREAT NEWS GUYS ,

I didn't have to do ATIP .. got my date for my oath!!!


According to ECAS they sent me a letter in the mail July 31st ( still haven't received)

Oath date will be August 15th *dances*


Hang in there guys!!!!


FYI time line below - according to ECAS:-

received January 28, 2014.

sent Discover Canada on January 28, 2014.

started processing on March 16, 2014.

sent you a notice on June 20, 2014 to appear and write the citizenship test on July 9, 2014

sent you a notice on July 31, 2014 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on August 15, 2014

Appeared for test at Scarborough on July 17, still waiting for oath ceremony date.

Just FYI for posters here, it's not too early to start waiting for the oath date- the standard timeline for oath in Scarborough office has been 1 month after the citizenship test.

Notice to appear to write a citizenship test july 24 2014 at Scarborough
Notice to appear-to take oath of citizenship 11 August 2014 8:30am
We received his invention July 28 2014
