She got the letter in the mail 3 day later. Interesting, eh? I wait.
I got the letter in one week. I've seen in the same day in some office too!
I asked this question from the officer and she said depend if we have free spot in the next oath ceremony or not the invitation letter could be posted between 1 and 60 days!

The only role is it has to be minimum 15 days before oath.

What other documents do we need to bring on the test day other than Passports, PR Card, Landing paper and 2 picture IDs? Should we bring diplomas if they were proof of language proficiency? anything else?

You bring all original documents used to support your application: that includes everything you listed and yes, the diplomas, plus whatever else you submitted. I had only those on your list, but some people have other travel documents, school papers, etc.

Seems like CIC still give ceremony to people processed in old routine. Email AOR applicants do not get to do the ceremony same day.
Correct me if i'm wrong.

Expect some delays at around this time -- it's the start of the new fiscal year, and going after the temporary workers... This week Vancouver will hopefully resume scheduling ceremonies beyond Apr 28: http://www.cic.gc.ca/citcer/search-recherche-eng.aspx.

Thanks yr97, it seems that Montreal still does it , although i can't find the pattern to know when they carry the test and oath events on the same day.

According to eCAS, my ceremony will be end of April in Vancouver. Strange that the date of the ceremony on eCAS is not on the Ceremony List page (http://www.cic.gc.ca/citcer/search-recherche-eng.aspx)

Hi,
I passed my test. It took just 2 mins and 20/20. very easy. I was first one who finished, so first one for interview. it was too far easy. and officer told me in 2 -3 month I'll have a ceremony. he just saw my passport and my ids, even not translation of passport.
I asked about test and ceremony in same day (because my wife in Feb. had them in same day) and he said It's finished and we never invite for both in the same date. finally waiting for last step.
