Hi All,

Below are my timelines and Passport Received in Ottawa Office on June 26, 2015 and waiting for my Passport with VISA return from Ottawa Office. Any one please advise, when will I get my Passport back, I am a bit tensed and worried. Please advise.

Application Received: July 24, 2014
AOR Received: September 30, 2014
PCC Sent: Apr 2, 2015
Medicals Done: April 18, 2015
Medicals Received Updated: April 24, 2015
RPRF: June 12, 2015
Passport Request: June 24, 2015 11:00 PM

Hey normally it takes 14-15 days to receive the passport back so you should be receiving your passports before Friday for sure.
All the best keep checking your return tracker after 6 pm every day. Looks like that's when they scan all the Express post envelopes.

Landed at Peace arch boarder on Sunday

Hey Mahesh,

I understand that they prefer us to book an appointment and it says that in the CoPR too. I just want to know if you faced any kind of trouble at the Peace Arch border because of that? That is where I am thinking of landing too. Thanks in advance.

Please update what you decided and how it was? Peace Arch is pretty busy place

Hello!

Ecas now shows a 4th line for me - They started processing my application on June 29th and a Decision has been made. I haven't received a passport request yet but I am hoping that it won't be too far away

Can you please update the spreadsheet with these details?

RPRF: May 5, 2015 (upfront)
Date changed to Decision Made in Ecas: June 29
Passport Request: waiting

My passport reached on 25th June and the tracker got activated on Friday.
So u shud have activated any day. So need to be tensed.

On 07/03 I landed at Pearson airport after a business trip abroad. Process was extremely easy - just had to show my COPR letter and my immigration visa on the PP. Took me around 20mins including lining up (line was short, quite a few service desks were available).

I was also told by the officer that I could leave Canada without having received my PR card; I just have to show my COPR letter when I enter Canada. This is really important for me as I may have to travel abroad in a month or so. Can anyone please confirm whether this is true? thanks!

Had no further info since... No medical request yet and from what i see here, most people had medical request March / April for July 14 apps.
I had requested GCMS notes and all I can see is..
"Letter provides brief list of duties - these duties are generic and do NOT provide the details necessary to confirm work experience in this NOC. Web Based search conducted - online verification verified... "

Then it goes on to say RECOMMENDATION - REVIEW REQUIRED BY OFFICER

I call CIC and they give me no help as my application is still within 13months process time.
I am just stuck, no progress, no medical request.

1) What should i ask my employer to do to help?

2) Do i do my medical without having been asked for it?

You should ask your employer about employment letter detailing about your role and responsibilities matching your NOC applied. Then send it immediately to CIC (email: CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca) to the below mailing address. You submit before they start looking your file for second review.
You can do upfront medicals to save some time...but your choice.

I'm in the same situation. I also recently applied for GCMS note but I got a request for an Updated LOE a few months back which i sent. I think you should send one. How many July applicants are still waiting for Review?

Please update what you decided and how it was? Peace Arch is pretty busy place

I talked to my lawyer about this and she said the process usually goes smooth when they are not busy. I work in Saskatchewan so I might just go there instead. Also, avoid Alberta border crossings, she advised. Anyhow, if I do end up going to Peace Arch, I would stick with a weekday and cross when they are not busy. Also, Aldergrove or Sumas might be an option as well.

I have a question....i applied for my permanent residence from Africa.

Why would they want me to send my passport to canada instead? I expected
to go to an office in africa or something. Please help
