Hello Fellows
I got the PPR request last night around 8 O'clock EST. In the PPR email they still have my older mailing address so I had to notify them by email which I have done. Strange thing is in PPR request which was last week they had my current mailing address.
Do I have to wait for them to send me a confirmation that they have updated the address?
I am also planning to send two envelopes with my current address and a copy of the email sent to CPC just in case.
Thanks

Hi,

I received my PPR yesterday as well and my mailing address was all wrong although I updated it with cec LOONG time ago. I emailed them to correct it but stilll mailed my passport today. You fill out your mailing address on the envelope so I don't think it will make any difference.

Hi Astasi,

I have only just started looking into applying for GCMS, can I apply from outside Canada or do I have to get a friend in Canada to apply for me?

Thanks for your help,
Dezz

Hi,

You would need a friend in Canada to apply for you. Use Form IMM5744 to authorize your friend to apply on your behalf.

In case you don't know anybody inside Canada willing to apply for you, you can contact www.lawpoint.ca. They charge $25.

Same here as well with my mailing address on the PPR mail. I send them an email to correct it.

As I stated before my application started processing on May 29th and on the same day CIC requested a new PCC from me which finally made their way to them last Thursday (June 11th) Would anybody/seniors have any idea whether this may cause a long delay to reaching Decision Made?

Just received my COPR in the mail and plan to do the landing at the Peace Arch border crossing tonight!!!!

Thank you to everyone here for the information throughout this process.

:)

Hi All,

I just received my COPR and Passport with the Visa.

However looks like my name got screwed up in both the COPR & VISA.

I can't exactly blame them for this mess up because my Passport first page contains my name in this format.

However I also have an observation page in my passport with the amended details showing the proper First Name and Last Name.

My first name and last name is combined as a single name and put in the Family Name Section.

Is this something that could create an Issue and can this be corrected at the time of landing or needs to be done prior to it?

Any suggestions?

Hello everyone,

I just received my passport and co-PR. Now planning for the date to cross the border.

Question:

I got married on 14th May 2015. I did not inform CIC about the marriage at last step as I didn't wanted to delay my application (my visa is expiring in next few months). Now, I am not sure if there will be any problem while I land in canada? Do they ask if I got married while my application was in process? Do they know by any chance that I am married? Will there be an issue when I sponsor my wife?

Please help...

Thanks

Hi,

If you planning to go to the border for the landing in my opinion this should not be an issue. If I were you I will attempt to land with this visa instead of waiting for another 2 weeks (or maybe longer) for CIC to issue a new visa.

It would be a good idea to carry prints of your PPR mail, sin card, driving license and any other documents that you can think of.

Also call CIC at 1888-242-2100 and see what the agents advise you on this.
