July 2014 applicants to Citizenship

Anybody knows what rules CIC are now applying for applicants to Citizenship during this month? The applications on CIC's Website are still the old ones that updated in May 2014!!!! The new law was approved i.e. Bill - C24 on June the 19th.

So far New law was approved but not applied yet. It will come into force on June 2015.

I think they call it Grandfather role or Grace Period.

after passing a law normally there is a period between passing the law and the time law being enforced. rumor says grace period for C24 is one year. means June 2015!

What is better for the people who are illegible to apply before the new law comes into force in June 2015 ? Wait another year and apply with new law since CIC said the process will be faster and smooth in less a year? Or apply with the current procedures and take the risk that it may be complicated with the possibilty to get RQ in which will affect the situation for at least 3 years?!!!!

Whoever is qualifying until the new law come to in effect, should apply and no reason to hold back hoping that new law will make their process faster. RQ is under new law will be there as it is now for specific cases on residency concerns..
