hey mike0421 until you receive and aor or approval you cannot log onto ecas unless you have a prior UCI#

My husband has a UCI# from when he had a TRV. I tried plugging in his information with the uci and it said he couldn't be found... however, the application has only been in Mississauga for 9 days, so once they open the application and scan the bar codes, then some kind of info should come up on Ecas, even if I haven't received an AOR or sponsor approval yet?

there is a good possibility of that!!!

Hey all, I have a quick question. On the CIC website, it shows the time for 80% of cases (e.g. Singapore 23 months :(). Does anybody know if that time starts from when CIC receives the application or when the VO receives the application?

Hi Phil,
The 23 moths processing time starts from the day the file is transferred tothe VO. Hope this helps!

Hi guys! glad to have found fellow july applicants here.. I mailed our application on the 7th of july but until now haven't received any word from CIC yet... :( how can I check the ECAS that everybody is talking about and upon receiving your AOR thru email, what is the subject line of the message? thanks a lot guys!

Hey Mike, Welcome!
I was meaning to respond earlier, but got sidetracked. Looks like some others have responded to your question. Would you like me to add you to the spreadsheet? If so, which VO are you going through, When did you do your medicals, and do you know when CIC received your application (You would not have heard from CIC, just received a notification if you sent through registered mail?)

Anyway good luck with your application - hopefully we hear from CIC on the next few weeks!

application received by them july 11 med done june 26 police check done july 5 and then goes to singapore for my thai wife :)

I have my question, anyone could you please help me to answer my case.
I have just received my AOR for sponsor ship application on 31Aug2012,
But i don't have approval letter yet,
however, when i check my wife application online by using E-cas system.
And I see my wife application for permanent resident in canada with status as application received,
Is it my wife application is received by Singapore office?
it is so confused with that.
Best regards,
Mai

Your approval letter can be anywhere from 2 days to 2-3 weeks after your AOR. It may come by email or it may come by mail. If by mail, you will probably see "decision made" in the sponsor portion of the ecas system before you actually receive the hard copy. Don't assume that your approval will come by email because your aor did. The application will be deemed to be forwared to the VO with the date of the approval...i.e. your approval is dated September 7th...that is the date your file is transferred to the VO by diplomatic courier......actually time to get there is anyone's guess....they probably are delivered weekly.

you're welcome lazycat_husband!!! :D

when you log onto ecas for sponsor you use UCI#...your last name only...date of birth...and country of birth......sometimes you use a hypen for the 8 digit code and sometimes not....and if that does not work...give it a couple of days....if you only got aor on Friday they haven't updated system and nothing will probably change until later in the week given that tomorrow is a holiday....nothing to worry about....just ecas really is not efficient in providing details all the time ;)

The question is in my aor, i have file number and I used this number and my wife last name and birthday to check her status, then it showed that her principal application is received.

sounds like to me that they haven't updated the system yet.....check in a couple of days using your client # with your info and something should appear --- either in process or decision made but usually not much appears in sponsor section until decision made appears.......
