I have more than 5 yrs of work experience and my husband has around 3 yrs. I will have a better candidature If I am the primary applicant . What should we do so that My husband can come and find employment in Canada .My son is 6 months old n both of us leaving our jobs here will not be feasible .
Questions:
Will FSW program be apt for us ?
Does it matter who the primary applicant is ?
Can my husband travel alone to Canada under a joint visa ?
Can I travel with him n then leave ?
What are my other options

You both are equal under FSW programs. Education and IELTS are the other deciding factors here.

Calculate CRS for both of you and whoever scores more than 440, can be the primary applicant.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

It does not matter who will be the primary or secondary applicant, both will get equal rights post landing.
The primary applicant has to land to complete PR immigration procedure.
Yes, you can travel with him and then can leave.

If my husband is the primary applicant , would it be enough if he arrives in Canada alone in the beginning and I could join him later on ? For how long would my invitation be valid?

The primary applicant has to land first. Dependents can land before their Medical expires.
