CHC London has a huge huge stockpile of applications.
They'd take some time, its guessable. but I believe that a lot to happen in 2012.

News Release

Up, up and away: Parent and Grandparent Super Visa takes flight today
Ottawa, December 1, 2011 — The first applications for the Parent and Grandparent Super Visa will be accepted today, Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney announced.

The Parent and Grandparent Super Visa is one element of Phase I of the Action Plan for Faster Family Reunification, announced in November. The Super Visa will allow applicants to remain in Canada for up to 24 months at a time without having to renew their status.

To be eligible, the applicant must:

Be a parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
Provide a written commitment of financial support from their child or grandchild in Canada, including proof that the child or grandchild meets the minimum necessary income (Low Income Cut-Off);
Undergo the Immigration Medical Examination;
Submit proof that they have purchased comprehensive Canadian medical insurance, valid for at least one year; and
Satisfy the visa officer that they meet all other standard admissibility criteria.
Current processing times through the Family Class indicate that many parents and grandparents could wait for eight years or more to be accepted to Canada. With the Super Visa, they could be enjoying the company of their family in about eight weeks.

I observed that in 2011 Jan & Feb the CHC London sent many many update documents request as well as MR to many applicants so in this point of view v can hope that they will send MR and update documents request for Pakistani applicants.

Too much activity at Buffalo
As of 1st July 2011, Buffalo has inventory (MI-1) of 7688 and London has inventory of 12580 (MI-1) .But visa quotas for London is also greater than Buffalo. Buffalo is not dealing pre Feb. 2008 cases with a good pace but London is dealing as London has dispatched too many MR and document updates to 2004 cases of Pakistan.
Hopes that London MI-1 applicant will also start receiving update and MR very soon.

Receiving MR's and then PPR could take a significant amount of time.
They are yet to get out of the recession and lots of people going to Canada are staying within Ontario, Montreal but CIC wants people to disperse all around the country and develop Canada.

Kashif is the pre june 2010 applicant got irrelevent reply from CHC London. He was asking about his current status and CHC London gave him reply about before 2008 applicants.


Kashif Status:

We received your application for permanent residence on December 7, 2009.
- We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 4, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

- Your application and supporting documents were received by the London England office. They are pending review.

- We transferred your application to the London England office on February 11, 2010. The London England office may contact you.

- We transferred your application to the London England office on July 27, 2010. The London England office may contact you.

Dear Sir/Madam,
This is in response to your enquiry. Please note we are in the process of returning your documents.
For Federal Skilled Worker applicants who applied before February 27, 2008.
We have received enough Federal Skilled Worker applications since February 27, 2008 to reach our immigration levels for the next two years. Because they reflect Canada's current labour market needs, applications under the most recent set of ministerial instructions are processed on a priority basis. Therefore, few Federal Skilled Worker applications received before February 27, 2008 will be processed this year or next.
The exception is the small number of cases where federal skilled worker applicants have already received instructions to undergo their medical examinations. These applicants should receive a final decision within 12 months of completing their medical examination.
The Action Plan for Faster Immigration has helped reduce application backlogs and wait times. Before the Action Plan was introduced, Canada had a backlog of over 640,000 people in the federal skilled worker category waiting as long as six years to be processed. In just three years, we've been able to get more than 300,000 people out of the lineup - that's close to half those who were waiting.
When a Federal Skilled Worker application is due for assessment, our office will send a letter asking the applicant to submit updated information in support of the application. This new information will be reviewed by an immigration officer who will determine if you meet the requirements for immigration.
Please wait until you receive this letter before providing any new information relating to changes in your personal circumstances, additional dependents, new employment, education or new identity documents.
Our office sends immigration decisions and information requests by post or by email to the mailing and email addresses provided in the application. Therefore, it is important that our office be notified immediately of any change of address and contact details.

Now new delhi applicants are getting this kind of reply that pre june 2010 files will not process in 2012

I got following reply in response to CSQ sent by me. It states that my application is not likely to be processed in 2012. So, the never ending longgggggg wait continues.


Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

An Acknowledgement of Receipt letter was sent to you after your application was received by our office. Your application is currently in a queue awaiting initial review.

Unless we have specifically asked you to do so, you are not required to submit any documentation at this time. Our office will contact you to provide the required supporting documentation for the assessment of your application.

If you applied as a Federal Skilled Worker on or after 27 February 2008 and before 26 June 2010, your application is not likely to be processed in 2012.
Unfortunately, it will take longer to process federal skilled worker applications submitted under the first set of instructions (between 27 February 2008 and 25 June 2010) than originally projected. During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.

This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the federal skilled worker program in 2011. As a result, applicants will wait two years or more to be processed.

If you wish to withdraw your application, you may be eligible for a refund of your processing fees.

Applications in the Skilled Worker category are processed in order of receipt. Your application forms and fees guarantee your place in the processing queue. Your file is being processed in accordance with its place in the queue, based on the date on which the application and fee payment were received in our office. As we are not yet ready to review your file, you are not required send any documents in support of your application. Since your application is still within normal processing times, we are not able to provide any status updates on your file. When we are ready to review your file, we will send a document request letter to you using the contact information we have on your file. That letter will list all documents required to continue processing your application.

Until we contact you, the only information you are required to provide us in order to update your application is:

- Change of address or contact information, including email address
- Change in your family composition
- Request to withdraw your application and refund the application fees
- Submission of an Arranged Employment Opinion approved by Human Resources and Social Development Canada
- Change to your representation

My status turned from application received to DM last week. I sent a case specific enquiry. They have replied a week later !!
although, it is a general email, which others have posted about the delay in processing, I would like to bring these two lines to attention

'If you applied as a Federal Skilled Worker on or after 27 February 2008 and before 26 June 2010, your application is not likely to be processed in 2012"

So, the DM a bug is the good news, bad news is , a longer wait !! but I do hope, things will start moving with InProcess from Sep-Oct 2012...

Time to hibernate now...A few of the users are creating a panic by posting false opinions of a confirmed DM, verification calls etc...so guys chill...

So , the two years wait could be a general one and not visa office specific. Like how the Manila office is working faster, New Delhi could too...but nothing until other half of 2012 in my opinion....

It also says

Your file is being processed in accordance with its place in the queue, based on the date on which the application and fee payment were received in our office

Fees was sent to CIO, does it mean, they are processing by fees payment date and 1st AOR ??

Also, the email is from section-2 of immigration dept , CHC ND

Finally, they are sure to ask for updated forms, POF , reference letters etc etc before processing

There is a possibility that some forum members have not updated their status in your list and they have quit the forum. I will intimidate those members to confirm their status otherwise we will remove their names from this list.

Please do not take this reply seriously. They are sending same email to everyone by saying that they are not going to process any application in 2012. In actual they don't wanna get disturbed with inquires made by Pre-June applicants. I applied at Sydney V O and they were sending same reply to all Pre-June applicants to wait for at least 2 or more years.

I got same reply as well on 14th Nov 2011 but just after two weeks they request for updated information on my file and told that they are going to review my file soon. They have asked for updated information to many Sydney V O applicants at the same day. So this could happen to you guys as well. And please note NDVO is even faster than Sydney V O, because they got huge number of staff.

So friend please don't lose faith. You will hear from Visa office very soon. Sydney is an example
