jobs for counselling psychology

Hello,
Are the job opportunities very limited as a counselor? when i look at online job advertisement platform like indeed for example, i see a lot of counselor jobs but most of them do not even require a masters it is hard for me to understand because you need to be certified by CCPA and hold a masters. Is there any difference between a camp counselor and mental health counselor? or a family counselor and addictions counselor?

There's a pretty massive difference between a camp counselor and the rest. Camp counselors are typically low paid summer jobs that students take and which don't require any professional training.

Oh, i did not know that at all, we do not have camp counselors in my country. Also, i have been looking into counseling psychology master programs and it seems like it is pretty competitive, they only take 6 ppl and around 400 ppl apply. I am assuming that since there are not many counseling psychology programs (and therefore not many graduates), finding a job would not be so difficult right? or am i wrong? maybe they would not prefer a non native speaker.

No - universities don't help with placements.

I can't comment on that. I'm not in the psychology field.

No - universities don't help with placements.

Okay thanks, i just found out that ontario college of social workers helps with the placement of freshly graduated social workers but i guess it is not possible for counsellors and non canadians. You need to have supervision in order to work as a counsellor and get certified, i thaught universities help with finding a supervisor, if they do not how is it possible to find one? do you have any idea? i mail to universities but they reply veryyy late
