Jobs for 3 years exp in IT

Hi Guys,

I have an experience of 3 years in an MNC in Chennai, India where my expertize is in Ab Initio which is an ETL tool. I have started the process for getting Canada PR. But after reading some of your comments on how the canadian companies are looking mostly for canadian experienced people, I am feeling a bit discouraged. I am not expecting to get a highly payed job as soon as I land there but I hope I should be able to get a menial job from where I can try for better ones. Could any of you help me with this confusion.

IT jobs are available in Toronto and other major cities. There is no requirement on Canadian experience, but then it all depends on the hiring manager. The questions you should ask yourself is
1. For the position I am applying am I the right match?
2. How do I differentiate myself with other people who might be interviewing?
3. Can I convince the hiring manager that inspite of my lack of working in Canada, I can easily merge into the culture

At the end of the day it all depends on how you can convince your hiring manager.
And you need to take a risk to find out which many people did and was successful. Your success depends on you. There are 300K immigrants coming into Canada every year. I am pretty sure most of them find a job.

Are you not able to get work because you do not have PR? Or is it because you are not able to get interviews?

some jobs ask for PR like TD,TCS.
some recruiters call me for contract jobs but I can only do a full-time job as i hv to shot that experience for my EE profile.
whenever i try to reach recruiters, they dont reply.
thts how m not getting interview calls

You can count contract job experience for express entry. No issues with that.
