Job Title and NOC mismatch

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I am approaching the deadline to submit all the documents after ITA but there is one question bothering me.

The job title of one of my previous employment was Corporate Development Manager. However, my duties and responsibilities were more close to NOC 1112 Financial and Investment Analyst. Moreover, despite the word "manager" in the title, I did not actually manage any people as I was the only person in the department.

I have classified this employment history to NOC 1112 as it is more related to what I did. However, my concern is that the title will confuse the immigration officer who might feel that I used an incorrect NOC code.

Shall I add a letter of explanation saying that the position wasn't really a managerial role? Is there any other way to mitigate the chance of decline due to incorrect NOC?

Please advice...

Job titles are irrelevant, what matters is that the NOC that you've chosen actually matches the duties and responsibilities stated in your reference letter.

The duties and responsibilities in the reference letter are in line with NOC1112, but I am still concerned that the title would make a first impression that it is a managerial position.

I feel hard to decide whether I should add a letter explaining as it would be a difficult work and might cause more confusion.

Has anyone applied under the same situation (title and responsibility in different NOC) and got approved?

Thanks

Hi,
If an EE application is refused due to NOC code mismatch, is the applicant allowed to modify the duties while selecting the appropriate Noc code for the 2nd application? Would modifying the letter be perceived as misrepresentation?
or is it advised that without adding new points, few sub-sections can be added to the main pointers of the 1st letter to justify the new & appropriate NOC code section?

The employer is willing to add the duties that the employee has performed.
