Does anyone know how easy/difficult it will be to find a job as a teacher in Canada? I have a Bachelor of Education and 5 years teaching experience on South Africa. I am interested in primary(elementary) or pre-primary.

It's effectively impossible as a foreign worker. An LMIA is never going to be approved for a teaching position since there are more teachers in Canada than jobs available.

Once you are a PR, the chances will increase (but will still be difficult for primary school). However to teach at the primary school level, you will first need to go through a certification process to have your education recognized in Canada and be allowed to work in this capacity.

Thank you for your helpful response.

You say it is difficult for primary school...is it possibly easier for pre-primary/early childhood? Or is that also likely to be difficult?

Are you asking as a foreign worker or after you have PR?

Yes it will be easier to become an early childhood education teacher although you will likely find it impossible to work in any public school system with out further training. There are private daycare organizations that may be an option.
