Hi all, new to site and was just wondering, my husband has received a job offer for Canada, the company has already been approved for the LMO and now we need to apply for the temporary work permit, does anyone know how long this will take to come through, and also, with our application we have to prove my husband can do the job, he can get references from jobs he has completed but he has no formal qualification for the position, will this be a strict requirement or will it matter as he already has the job offer? thanks.. ;)

Should think it would depend on the type of job it is. Something like an electrician, engineer, paramedic (and many others) WOULD require formal education. If you provide more details you will get better responses. Does the job posting specify any level of education? If he doesn't meet the requirements of the posting I think he would have difficulty.
