Hello,

I'm a Vermonter who is being offered a job as an SEO/English writer at a Francophone web company in Montreal.

I have a college degree (BA) in English (writing focus) and a minor in Spanish, & am in the process of obtaining a Masters in English Literature.

I am able to get by reading a minimal amount of French, but have no writing or speaking skills. I plan to learn.

My work experience has not come from one source, so This is my main concern: Since graduating, I have had an internship and done freelance work that relates to this job offer. However, it has not been full-time, super extensive, and might even fall below the 1-year mark. I also have been paid in various formats; personal check, cash, invoice, etc.

That being said, the company has found me most fit for what they want and are offering me the job and saying they will represent me in my process to get this visa.

I believe a 0 for work experience puts me at about 62 points. Is there any such thing as points for partial year of work experience?
How thorough is the process of proving every hour/dollar earned within your desired trade? I know I have the ample capability/experience to accomplish this job. I've just had to stitch together a living with various jobs, so it's been patch-work. And my qualifications are more through my own doing that courses/company work. Thoughts?

Also, I'm 26.. not sure how age factors in at each level.

That was a lot, but thank you for reading and feel free to offer any advice on any part of this inquiry.

Thanks!
Vinny
