Hi all,

I have submitted my application for PR back on 8 May 2020. For ITA I got points for a valid job offer. My job offer is till 31 August 2021. On CIC website they say that it should be valid for 1 year AFTER PR IS ISSUED. Does anybody knows if:

i) How strict IRCC is about the job offers?
ii) One of the reason in the delay was that my first appointment for medical exam (fixed initially for 23 March 2020) was cancelled due to COVID. Can this help if I raise it to IRCC?

Thanks!

Does your employment letter says you are full time employee if yes than you will be considered as one with indeterminate employment.

no harm in including letter of explanation

Many thanks for your reply.

My offer letter (an extension to my initial appointment from September 1 2018 to August 31 2020) says "I am pleased to offer you an extension of your definite term for 1 year from September 1 2020 to August 31 2021" It does not specify explicitly if it is full time. However, the reference letter from my boss and the letter of appointment do specify that it is full-time for 35 hours per week.

Add words that mr xxx is a full time employee of the firm and working for such hrs.
Ur working 30 hrs and more so they should be fine.

Thanks! Then I will write a letter of explanation to IRCC.

My name, the name of the company, the full-time employment and 35 hours per week is mentioned in both the letter of appointment and in the reference letter.
