Hi there,

If offered a full time permanent job, how binding is the contract for both sides? I am afraid I will have spent all this time and effort on application and the company can't keep my job open as I can't guarantee how long the application process will take.

I am through ee and filling out stage 1 of PR application which has the 60 day limit.

If anyone has any info it would be great, Cheers

When does your work Visa expire?

I recommend you submit your documents, wait for your R10 and apply for BOWP (if you have less than 4 months on your WP).

So, I've been in a somewhat similar situation recently (company offered job, I accepted, we signed paperwork, company backed out) however the company backed out in my case due to their own incompetence, and unrelated to time or work authorization. I've talked to a few lawyers and all have said it looks like I have a case, however you would have to read your contract carefully, in particular any language surrounding start date and work authorization.
