I’m working on a open work permit. After completing my education in Canadá I received a 3yr work permit.
When I Calculate my CRS SCORES on CIC general website it shows I should be getting “15 points for Study in Canadá” but in my application they are also missing lol
So you say “no” to a job offer. Not sure about your education if you have completed the program and downloaded the documents.

Here are the answers to the questions I have selected -

Does <FirsName LastName> have a job offer in Canada?
Yes

Is this job offer for work that is:•full-time
continuous and
for at least one year?
Yes

Is this job offer for work that is non-seasonal?
Yes

Was a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) issued for the job offer in Canada
No

Is <FirsName LastName> currently working in Canada?
Yes

Does <FirsName LastName> have a valid work permit for the current job in Canada?
Yes

Is <FirsName LastName>'s job offer from the employer named on the current work permit?
Yes

Has <FirsName LastName> been working full-time for the employer on their current work permit for at least one year? (Or for an equal amount of part time work?)
No

Was a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) issued for the current work permit? (required)
No
Your score is correct. You are not entitled to the 50 points.

Since you are on an open work permit, you can only qualify for the 50 job offer poins if your employer obtains an approved LMIA.

So if I’ll get the LMIA number I would be eligible?
Bcuz my friends applied under the same process and received the 50 points for having a valid job offer. Since, I have been working with RBC from past 14months... I thought I should be entitled too :/

Yes, if your employer can obtain an approved LMIA, the you would be eligible for the 50 points.

Your friend cannot be under the same process as you. There must be something different about their work permit or job offer details. Or they have claimed 50 points they are not entitled to which is going to result in their application being refused.

Slightly confused why will I say no to the job offer when I have a job in Canadá (full time) with a NOC code/skill B
Because what you have doesn't qualify as a job offer under Express Entry.

I have checked with my employer to provide me LMIA number and details so that if I can proceed. Bcuz I’m still not sure why I should not be eligible for the 50 points since I’m working with the company in Canadá.

Okay that’s strange but what’s the benefit of working in Canadá then lol
I’m glad that you have some great knowledge. Thank you so much
The benefit is that you get additional points under EE for having Canadian work experience.

As already said, there are specific requirements in order for you to be able to count job offer points under Express Entry. Since you are on an open work permit with no employer named in the work permit, you can only claim job offer points if your employer gets the approved LMIA. Those are the rules and these have been the rules for several years now (since Express Entry launched).

The LMIA process is long (typically six months). You should be aware that the big Canadian banks are generally not willing to go through the LMIA process.

Can you increase your points in different ways? e.g. through improving your IELTS score

okay I’m able to understand what you mentioned. My wife and I we both given Celpip - my wife score is 10-12 and mine is 9 in all the categories.

my main reason of looking at the options bcuz I’m not able to get any points for my Indian work experience either and study in Canadá (50+15)

Why can't you get points for your Indian work experience?

I’m not sure it’s not reflecting. I have experience more than 6years and it’s not reflecting. I have entered everything. EE just asks you to provide your work experience and I have mentioned Indian and Canadian both. But I’m just getting Canadian work experience points. Foreign experience shows 0
