Re: Probationary Employment Letter
Dear Resco,
We are pleased to offer you the position of General Farm Worker at La Ferme Vieille-Grange, to begin upon your arrival in Canada. This offer is for an initial six (6) month probationary period.
You will be compensated at CAD $20.00 per hour, payable on a monthly basis, with all statutory deductions applied in accordance with Canadian and Quebec employment standards. Your duties will include crop production, livestock handling, equipment operation, and general farm maintenance as directed. Standard work hours are [insert hours] per week, with overtime paid according to Quebec labour laws.
During the probationary period, your performance and conduct will be reviewed. Following this review, your employment may be:
- Confirmed as permanent,
- Extended for a further probationary term, or
- Terminated, if expectations are not met.
Either party may also terminate employment during probation with written notice or pay in lieu of notice, as required under Quebec employment standards.
