Hi,

My wife had a job till October, but when she came here for 2 months for our wedding, she lost her job. Is it compulsory for her (being sponsor) to find the next job and then we apply for our case or we can apply it with explanation letter that she will start finding next job? she is not on social services or anything, her last job was much more than minimum pay.

If she's a citizen or PR, she doesn't need proof of employment and if she is sponsoring you, just make sure you show minimum funds into the account of the sponsor.

There is no minimum threshold however, around $15-20,000 should suffice.
