Hello,
I submitted my application for permanent residency in May of this year. I do not live in Canada and have never worked there.

When I applied I was on the last month of an employment contract. I have since been offered a new job in my home country which I will be starting shortly. Do I have to notify CIC about the new job? Also, will I be required to submit a reference letter from this new employer? (I have a probation period and I don't want them to know about my residency application).

Can anyone advise?

No.

Your application will be assessed based on the factors that made you eligible and for which you claimed points for. Your current employment is irrelevant to your PR application.
