I am a Jan applicant and waiting since July (when i completed the citizenship test) for an update . Separately, I have a US visa appointment in December and my India passport expires May 2023 (less than 6 months). Anyone knows if this is an issue. Since US tourist visa technically transfers to new passports, am hoping it should be okay but wanted to know if someone has any experience of this.

They will never issue a visa to a passport that expires less than 6 months. I recommend renewing your passport first and then applying for the US Visa.

I travel to US with two passports, I did not transfer visa. One is valid, another expired with valid US visa. No issues

Silent member here however I thought to update. I got oath ceremony email today. timeline is as: Paper application for 4 family members, sent on January 27th, AOR 25th Feb, test Aug 26, background check and other things completed on September 17, Oath ceremony email, November 18th

I got mine after 12 days by normal post. Oath done on 18th October. Niagara Office. You should be on the look out this week or next.
Many in my group got it earlier than me but still within 2-3 days window.
