Just received my COPR letter! (Mississauga office)
Amazing, Congratulations!! You mentioned your file got moved to NDVO, but you received CORP from Mississauga. Can you please provide details, if you don't mind. Your post will give a boost to our morale, who are still waiting for a word from CPC-M and NDVO..

Your prediction was good but now hopefully visa offices will work efficiently. They must have a big backlog. People of January applications just started to get updates from CPCM so its a good sign but lets see if anyone else come up with some good news from any visa offices.

I dont know about ppl who are lucky enough to get their VO work done in Canada but im a Jan 20 applicant too and everything was going smooth before the damn pandemic started we got medical and SA approved in Feb and file was transferred to Ankara VO in March without Biometrics ever been requested yet(which is odd). Since then applicants status is stuck at "Application Received" and will be that way til the end of this year probably because I check the forum for applicants whos files are at the same VO and i see alot of frustrated people who applied 14+ months ago and some of them are finally getting PPR and even that is taking longer than the usual 2 weeks wait period to get COPR.
My point is be thankful if your files go to any VO in Europe or here in Canada otherwise you should have waited a heck of a long time for a final decision as me and my wife totally lost hope on getting any result this year.
Good luck everyone and stay safe !

Medical request from the Nairobi VO dated Sept 18, 2020!!! So excited! (It comes later in the process, not right after biometrics for this VO for some reason).

Hi All,

I have few a question regarding my application.

1. At what stage does the background check of PA takes place? FYI: PA is from India. Immediately after I received AOR1 GC key showed background check in process. I thought background check is takes place after biometrics and medical examination results has been received by IRCC and the application has been moved to VO. Not sure why in my case the background check was initiated right after AOR1? Does it mean after the application has been moved to the VO we will directly get PPR as background check would be done by then? Can someone please clarify?
2. PA has received biometrics request but VAC in Ahemdabad, India is currently closed. Is there any Sponsor or PA on this thread from this city who has any idea about VAC re-opening date? Their website shows closed till September 30, 2020; but they keep extending the closure from past few months.
3. After medical examination has been given, how will IRCC notify us that the results has been received and medical examination has been passed? Approximately how long it takes?
4. Can file be moved to VO after medical examination passed, even if the biometrics is still pending?

Here is my application timeline:

-> Application delivered at Sydney, NS: January 2, 2020 (as per courier tracking number)
-> AOR1: March 1, 2020 (AOR1 stated IRCC received application on February 19, 2020. No idea what happened to my application for 7 weeks after it was delivered till I got AOR1. Tried to reach out to IRCC to get explanation for this, but all I got was the standard response)
-> Background check in process: March 1, 2020
-> Biometrics requested: September 17, 2020
-> Medical Examination requested: September 18, 2020
-> Medical Examination given: September 21, 2020 (tomorrow)
-> Decision made for SA on ECAS: September 18, 2020 (I did not get any email regarding what the decision is about, but assuming its SA)

Thanks!

Hi guys!
please share updates if anyone gets from any VO specially from Mississauga office. Someone got final decision this morning (21st sep) from Mississauga and the application was from February. Hope they start doing something for January applications.
