Hello All,

Any Idea, How long it takes for Certificate to Arrive? It is almost 10 days since my OATH is completed. I haven't received the Certificate yet.

Thank all for your inputs

Ottawa office alert!! After 25 months I finally got the oath date for March 8th, 2022. Finally now I can see the the light at the end of the tunnel. this has been a never ending process those who are still in the middle of it please hang on i know this is frustrating but I am sure your test/oath they are just around the corner.

hi everyone, I just wanted to give you an update today. Finally after 24 months of the long wait I had my oath ceremony today at 8 30 am in the morning.I was originally scheduled for an oath on March 19 2022.I have applied on Jan 2020.As I have an urgent travel plan in the last week of March 2022 I sent an email to Scarborough Office asking if they could give me an earlier date otherwise I may have to reschedule it because I am afraid I would not get my certificate or passport during that time. And then this week on Feb 7 2022 they replied back. The reply was "Please note your request was received by our team and you have been scheduled for your Virtual Citizenship Ceremony on Feb 12, 2022 @ 8:30 am.You will receive your Notice to Appear shortly.Thank you".When I got this email I could not believe my eyes as I was overwhelmed. The oath ceremony went smoothly and it was super fast.Only lasted for an hour and 10 mins or so.I would like to thank this group for every support and advice they gave to me during this journey .This group really helped me to get my hopes up lol.I would like to thank each and everyone who is a part of this group. My best wishes to everyone.I pray and hope your long waiting journey will end soon.My advice to anyone who have been waiting for an oath date (decision made) or already have been scheduled for an oath try emailing your local office asking if they could reschedule you on an earlier date if necessary. There's no harm in trying at least. And yes they do read our emails. Thanks again.

Yes once you are a canadian citizenship your baby born while you are a citizen will automatically be a canadian citizen doesnt matter if the child's mother is a pr, citizen or citizen of another country. Only one parent has to be a canadian citizen
