Anyone who had got NOI received an email? Or directly in your EE profile?
Directly into profile. No email. And it’s not because you can set to receive emails or not in communication preferences. So you have to log in and feel disappointed when no updates!

Think the way updates come through probably different to after ITA/e-APR. Assuming that works the same as when submit a temporary work visa etc.

Hang in there bud. I totally feel you. Running out of visa, Canadian girlfriend (nope, not involved in my immigration), so there's no option of going home. Stay positive!
Thanks! Best of luck to you too. Will try not to check for another couple of hours. Think will be next week now. Staying positive!

Hi Friends,
I got my AINP recently.
Now i am submitting my Federal papers.
I have some queries,
In my nomination letter its mentioned
RESTRICTIONS ON EMPLOYMENT- NO
what does this means??
Can i apply for a open work permit now as i am on close work permit.

thanks
This means that you can apply for a bridging open work permit (BOWP). You need to be in Canada, on a valid work permit that expires in the next 4 months and have submitted your e-APR as principal applicant. There’s an extra $100 charge for the open permit. This gives LMIA exempt status but yours will be restricted to Alberta (and may restrict certain occupations depending on status of your medical).

See: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/extend-permit/bridging-open-work-permit.html

Note you need to have both the AOR after submit your e-APR and also the section R10 confirmation of a complete application. You get a letter in your account for the first, usually on the day you submit. Include a copy of this and PNP nomination letter with your application. The latter usually takes 25-30 days after submit e-APR but maybe longer. I don’t think you get a letter for this. You can in theory tell by tracking the post-ITA stages mentioned elsewhere in forum (I think between IP1/MEP and IP2).

But they should only reject your BOWP if turns out you didn’t submit a complete application (or you’re refused PR). You can keep working with implied status in the interim. But ONLY with the conditions of your current work permit (so specific employer/location etc and not as an open permit).

The BOWP processing time is 91 days, it can start before your current permit expires, and it lasts 12 months.

(As you can see ... I also have made some plans for post-ITA/e-APR. So hoping it all works out!)

Does your wife have connections to Alberta?
How does this work? How do we make them see that we have uncles and aunts living in Alberta from 15 odd years?
AINP do pick from EE profiles, and that is not the place we declare the provinces our relatives live in. So where exactly do we declare this?

Don't know about them, but I am waiting since 19th September 2019, the day I created my profile.

This is in the first section of EE profile under “Family” and you can put in any relatives including uncle/aunt in Alberta. We’re told that only first degree relatives will improve chances of getting selected, not uncles, aunts, cousins etc. Other connections to Alberta are: education, work experience, job offer.

It’s all on the AINP website as follows:
If you have one or more of the following adaptability factors, this may increase your likelihood of receiving a Notification of Interest letter:
  • Alberta job offer and/or work experience
  • A graduate of a Canadian post-secondary institution
  • A relative that is living in Alberta: parent, child, brother and/or sister
With a low demand NOC and no connections, it’s less likely to get NOI. Certainly in recent months. But honestly no-one really knows unless they work for AINP (and even then it’s probably a computer algorithm that sends the NOIs). You can try searching for the NOC to find out other people’s experience and timelines. Or look at opportunities for temporary immigration for work/study and, in time, your options for permanent immigration may improve. But if your goal is to come to Canada and not specifically Alberta, then it might be worth exploring other options too including provincial nomination elsewhere.

1241 has been selected before. Though it’s also on the high volume of applications list. No one knows if there’s a quota based on NOCs. It seems that connections to Alberta have been more important recently, at least based on posts here (though these are <2% of NOIs issued in 2020, so cannot draw strong conclusions). Other people have suggested will hopefully be more NOIs to those outland with no connections in the future, like there was in second quarter of 2019. Good luck!

Hi All,
I have few questions, Please anyone guide/help me on these .

Do we get NOI through EE or we have to apply PNP for respective province .
As I have created my and my husband's profile with NOC : 2173 and 6221 on October 2019.
I have CSR score 406 and my husband has 460 and still we did not get any NOI from province.

And now the CSR score for EE is too high . So could anyone suggest whether we have to wait EE or should we go for PNP?
Which PNP will be good for NOC:2173 with 406 CSR score?
Which PNP will be good for NOC:6621with 460 CSR score?

I have similar CRS to your husband (until next birthday at least!) and no prospect of significant increase until have one year of Canadian work experience (unless I revive my high school French skills!). I cannot see the CRS threshold getting to near 460 based on recent trends, unless they significantly increase the number of ITAs ... if this does happen then it could still take 6+ months for CRS to get to that level. But this is all guesswork and my assumptions could be wrong.

So your only real option now is PNP. I can comment for Alberta but suggest you check your NOCs yourself vs my recent post above that gives all the links. I cannot help with other PNPs but hopefully someone can.
