my husband applied January 2017 ,march 8 2017 , their responded that the application was received . June 2017 , the application said its in process and medical check received . their never said anything else. feb 2018 their send me an email i should refile the form B I Believe and sending a new police certificate ,which my husband did . their received it but never updated online of them having received only by email . last 2 weeks their emailed me that everything Apear to be good. i could also call the number of cic and its explain that i will not he will not do the interview , their dont need his medical or police but then the next day their called me the wife in Canada and asked to speak to my husband , i said he is in congo how could you ask me that when you have it all on the file .? SHE SAID OH WE THOUGHT HE IS IN LAND , i was like really? did you read his file ? she said oh dont worry i will pass it to my colleague and i said oh my God will it take another 1 year and 3 month ? long story short , THE NEXT DAY THEIR SENT ME A new application number , next day their asked me for police certificate and said i should link my application which i have tried a million time and said not found . WHAT CAN I DO ? WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT / DO I NEED A LAWYER ?

Medical was completed in June 2017.......although will agree your file is taken so long to complete......application are processed on a case basis.......good you have not been told your application has been rejected.......i can understand the waiting stress.......relax.

Its not unusual not to hear from IRCC for months after medical.......as the next step eligibility and background check takes awhile........but 16 months in-process is alot.

Its not time to go to a lawyer........16 months application in-process......will suggest the sponsor contact the Federal MP for constituency in Canada for help.......the sponsor could also call IRCC 1-888-242-2100, from within Canada only........you could also order your GCMS notes.

You earlier linked your application.....don't know why IRCC sent you a new application number......if asked to link your application......give it a few days and try.......if still unsuccessful try call IRCC.
