Hi!

We sent in our application on 22 Jan 2017 by FEDEX and was received on 25 Jan 2017.

Our consultant followed up only in March 2017 since we had no update. We got an email regarding the missing documents thereafter.

We sent my birth certificate and photos which was received on 27 March 2017 by CIC and
we received my UCI number and Application number on 31 March 2017.

We made an online account but our consultant has advised us not to link our online application as yet as it would revoke their access for us.

We are not sure what we are missing here. We want to apply for my visit visa in the meanwhile.

Kindly advise.

No help, but I'm in the same boat. ECAS status only shows application received. Last communication I had was Feb 20th, a request for Police Certificate and Schedule A which I uploaded the day after.
So I guess they're working on my application somewhere (don't know which visa office is processing it either)...

So is it that you are following up with them or how is it? I feel it is only when our consultant sent a follow up did they ask for our missing documents.

We got the Application number only thereafter. And this is in march end while we had sent our documents in Jan end. 2 months it is. I was wondering if it was even normal.

Yep. Ordered GCMS notes, should hear back within the next week. Also sent a case specific enquiry through the web form, but no response at all there.

But you received your AOR, right? I haven't received mine. I wonder how is your status still Application received then.

I had done and submitted my Police verification and Medical before as we were preparing for the old one and then the new rules came in place.

I was about to tell you to check your GCKey Account. I think they will send you a letter there for a PPR. At least, that's what i got!

MyCIC shows we are checking if you meet the eligibility requirements. and the background check says that my application is in progress, and the next step is to start background check, why im still in the checking eligibility requirements ??

We are exactly in the Same boat. I can't understand why they are still checking if I meet the eligilibity? When my sponsor have been given SA already. My app was received January 25th.
