Is it okay to send medicals since CIC mentioned DO NOT SEND MEDICALS AT THIS TIME? so I though it is not mandatory right now.

I had my medical exam done on 12/20/2016 so I included it with the new forms (which it says on the CIC website is fine up until 01/31/2017). I doubt you'll be able to get a medical done now, I believe unless you already had an appointment you're SOL and will have to wait until they request one.

Was able to link application yesterday to CIC by creating a GCKey account and linking with Name/DOB. My wife and I used new forms and sent my Police certificate up front as well as my medical. Showing my medicals are passed and the CIC requested an electronic copy of form 5669 (Schedule A). I simply modified my previously saved form with the current dates and UCI/Application number, uploaded to the CIC website and now it's pending review.

Here's to hoping it goes fast! I'm an American so my process may be a little different from others.

Where did you see that the application was received by D SEEL? on UPS page? i sent it through Canada post- on Canada Post website it only says delivered.. doesn't mention the name of the receiver. mine was received on Jan 06.. so will i be expecting AOR to be sent through mail or email?

Couriers get signatures, and can normally be displayed on the websites. Don't think that's the same for Canada Post.

Yeah I did UPS with signature request. As long as you put your e-mail in the application(s) you'll get an AOR via e-mail in about 2 weeks, based on what I got...so expect it any day now.

I used canada post too and my application was delivered on Jan 6 2017 as per canada post website .. still waiting havent recieved anything yet .

Hello! I've just submitted our application to sponsor my husband via Canada Post courier on Monday- should be received any day now. We used the old one. How long until I can link our paper app to an online account? Do they send you and email as soon as its receieved? And sorry, but what does AOR and ECASE stand for?

They do not tell you that they have received your application as soon as they receive it. You can know when they received it from Canada post tracking system.
Currently, it takes them about 2 weeks for an application to view and see if all the documents and photographs are provided by you. If it your application has no missing things, they will send you an email on that day saying that they have received your application and will provide you with an application number. This email is called AOR (Acknowledgement of receipt)
A few days after the AOR email, you will be able to see your status online. This webpage is called ECAS (https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do)

Another question guys... My wife was in kenya for 3 months(visit). As per the CIC only if you have visited more than 6 months we have to provide PCC.

Can they sill ask for Kenya PCC.. I am not sure for processing time for PCC of kenya that too applied from India.

Any suggestions ?

App received by CPC-MISSISSAUGA - 4th JAN 2017
NO AOR1, NO ECAS entry found, NOT able to link our application online.

I am able to link the application online yesterday, once linked found a message requesting to upload IMM5669 (Schedule A/Background Info form) and PCC.
Also found the application on ECAS today.
Sponsor evaluation in progress.

My application was received on Jan 4th. Took me exactly 15 days to find it online.
