I am diabetic should i mention when they requested for medical.

BTW, I've only just realized that after you upload the schedule A and police certificate, you still have to click 'next' and submit the forms, didn't think it was very clear. So after this my application will get send to a VO right?

Also, for medical exam, on my account it says : 'You do not need a medical exam, we will let you know if this changes'. I thought everyone needed a medical exam? I was planning to do it this month..

Medicals are now being done on demand.. they will let you know when to do it.

Congrats! Did you receive the info by mail (which one in this case, Principal Applicant's email or Sponsor's email?), or by ECAS, or on your GC account?

Errr it was shown on the GC account, so keep checking

Hey guys, wondering if you could help out here with a small question. Below is my timeline

Jan 19 - Application sent
Jan 24 - Application received
Feb 2 - Application linked to MyCIC (GCKey)
Feb 9 - Started working on the application. I'm now able to view status on ECAS using file # or sponsor's client ID
Feb 14 - CIC asked to submit IMM 5490, sent on the same day and also sent through mail to Mississauga, just in case
March 7 - PA gets an update on MyCIC requesting for medicals. I noticed the PA was issued a new client ID

Question - We did not get any notifications/ email regarding sponsor approval. Is it a normal practice for CIC to ask for medical results before sponsor approval? Police clearance certificates already provided with application.

Hi Jay,

Is NDVO processing your PA's application?

Ours is NDVO, they started processing our App on Feb 6th but have not received request for medicals yet.

The part where you see the 'Started working on the application', was it under the Permanent Residence application of the PA? If yes, that confirms your SA. Sometimes they do not send out SA emails.

Yes it is under PR application. But then how do I find out which VO is processing it? ADVO or NDVO. My wife is an Omani (born) resident but Indian citizen. Lived all her life in Oman.

@ waitingforPPR - I don't know which VO is processing the application. Tried calling the call center but couldn't get through. I will try calling again tomorrow first thing in the morning.

Hi everyone,

I'm really worried because my application (Family/Spouse sponsorship, outland) was received in Mississauga on Jan 23 (based on the tracking number my package was sent with), but I have had NO CONTACT from CIC. It looks like all of you got a response fairly quickly. What do I do???

I don't have an online account with CIC because, well, I never got the email telling me to set one up.

(as this is my first post, it looks like I can't edit my info on the side yet, but in case it's relevant, I'm an American ex-pat living in London UK with my Canadian spouse)

Hello guys


We received your application to sponsor Xxxxxxx on December 23, 2016.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on January 10, 2017.
We started processing your application on January 10, 2017.

We received xxxxxxxxxxxx application for permanent residence on December 23, 2016.
Medical results have been received.

My question is, it have ben more than two months and I didn't receive any email regarding teh SA
And i am a bit worried, also i tried to link my application and it keeps saying that based on your information we can't find your application.

Please help
