Send by Canada post express. You will have a tracking number and can track your application. Use the following address-

Case Processing Centre – Sydney
Grant Adults
P.O. Box 7000
SYDNEY, NS
B1P 6V6

No need to use many envelops. Put all your document in to one envelop. You can use a clip to tight this up. If you want you may put your photo into a small envelop (the envelop you got from the studio). That's all.

My Whole application was returned. That is the new rule after June 11/2015. Letter said language evidence not on list of acceptable documents. I am booked for the CELPIP test on February 15. I will resend my application once I have the Certificate. Have to pay $175 and drive 150km to a different city. My City has a two month wait list. You just have to wait patiently. My application was returned with in 10 days.

Out of interest, if your application is returned at this stage through insufficient documentation - do they refund the processing fees? Or can you use the same receipt number when you re-apply?

I seem to remember that for PR applications you only lose the processing fee if it fails after the eligibility review at the local CIC office..

There is no status update on my citizenship application, I posted it on Feb 2nd.

Worried :(

Thanks!!

Thanks!!

We posted ours on 30th Jan (arrived 4th Feb) and no response either - but probably no need to be worried yet.

Looking at the spreadsheet below you can see that sometimes CIC take up to 20 days to get the AOR out :-
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HO2bMpPOII6R0N7q3oULrAgA27LJYaz3l9fMWcGaOms/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=0

I'd wait until it gets past 20 days since application arrived before there's any cause for concern that it may have gone adrift.

Hello!

We just received AOR today. If my husband and I applied together, do we just get one AOR letter?
Also, how long does it take before you can access E-CAS to check status?

Hi - we also got our AOR today. My wife and I applied in the same envelope - I got my AOR and then my wife got hers about 30 minutes later, both by email.

I spoke to a friend here at work whose husband recently got Citizenship - she said E-CAS status was available for them to check about 2 days after they got the AOR, so I guess probably check again on Friday and it might be available.

Good luck.

Hi Cappucino,

Do you have the same UCI as your wife's application?
I still have not received my AOR.

I believe the UCI is actually the number on the back of your permanent resident's card - so it should not be the same UCI (in fact the "unique client identifier" the word "unique" is a bit of a give-away) ;)
