I don't understand.
Looking at the excel (very well managed file I must add) it seems that visa offices can request a passport without even sending a VO AOR?

Some VOs are not sending AOR at all. For example, mine. Manila are never sending AOR according to the VO thread on this forum. So the first communication I expect from them is passport request.

@ CanadienTO: You are correct if your VO is sending AOR.

Alright! My hubby finally finished his medicals yesterday, and I just finished saying goodbye to him in the airport ;( hopefully for the last time! Mailed off the medical proof and some extra docs yesterday and it was just delivered to cpp-o an hour ago. Gonna give it a week then email them to ensure its been put with the rest of my app!

Soooo apparently this whole medical process is trying to completely bankrupt us... my hubby flew back to Arkansas on Wednesday after finishing up his tests and guess who just called me?! THE XRAY CLINIC! They need to do a second viewing before they send in the results.
Why is this happening to me?

So sorry to hear that Zarilenth, that sucks! Can you husband do another check from one of the designated doctors in his city? I am sure economically it makes more sense than flying back to Canada.

We attempted that the first time and they flat out refused. This time, when he called they said there was a shadow in the x-ray (which means they screwed up) so they wanted it redone. He refused, and said he could not fly up here again. They said fine, they'll send in the x-ray but warned us the medical officer may request another x-ray and at that point there is nothing we can do.
If that happens, he'll just push for an x-ray to be done in Dallas, which is the closest panel physician to him. We are just hoping for the best.

OMG I feel so sorry for you Zarilenth! Those medicals have really been a PITA for you since the beginning of your application. I hope everything will settle up for both you finally.
See the bright side by telling yourself it gave a good reason for your husband to come up here and reunite with you for some time.

Omg, so sorry to hear that! I really hope they won't ask for the second x-ray! I had some problems too with the tests and had to redo the lab part. Shouldn't be anything, was just a minor thing, but I'm also concerned they will ask for some extra tests and that it will cost a lot. Here especially it's so expensive (the whole examination cost about 500 in CAD)!

I guess we just gotta wait and see, and try not stress too much about it in advance.

Woohoo! I sent in that huge packet of extra documents last week and emailed them Friday asking if they received it. Today I got an email:

"Dear Applicant,

Your documents have arrived and were placed in your application.

Kind regards.."

I can relax now, everything is in order and I just have to wait for them to start processing it
