Welcome to the forum and congrats on AOR.

It should take about a week, so probably next wednesday you may get the SA email or see a note on your ecas that a letter with decision was sent. Use your client ID #(not file number) to check.

Hey Edgehead78,

Sorry I forgot to add the date we did the medical on.
If you can please also add the
medical done: December 11th, 2013
Also glad to see you also sent your app on Jan 30th. Seems like we r on the same boat...lol

Yes, I was also a little worried because when they updated the processing times on Feb 19 it still kept saying they are processing Jan 10 applications. I did not hear anything from them and was getting impatient, but don't worry you should hear from them soon. Keep checking the email...I wonder how long it will take for me to receive my SA. Hoping I will know sometime soon as when I saw the spread sheet it seems its only taking about 2-4 days to know the SA....hopefully all will go smootely, dying to be with my husband again...been away from him for a year n half now, its getting harder every day... :(

This thread is doing excellent! Only a few more applicants to go! Speedy processing to everyone!

So, I'm on my 30 days and still no AOR - my issue is my husband didn't do his medical upfront because we thought we didn't have to. We have an appointment to go get his medical tomorrow, should we send the results to CIC-M even though we aren't sure if our application has been returned, or should we wait and see, and send it to CPC-Ottawa?

Come on CIC. Give me some good news today!!!!

ETA: Just checked the processing times and they are down to 29 days and working on apps from January 28th. So why haven't they done mine yet. :(

Lets just pretend that we have the same Visa Officer and he/she just doesn't hand out AORs! :D

Just got off the phone with CIC-M. He said my file was only received on January 27th...even though Canada Post says 24th (might want to update my timeline). But since it is before the date they are working on now they will but it into action and that I should hear from them soon. So, Zarilenth we are on the same timeline. Maybe try giving them a call and they will put yours into motion too. :)

Ok so if I understand correctly, Canada Post information is unreliable >:(

I am a little lost, so everyone keeps telling me to check ECAS...is ECAS the same as the site they tell us to check the staus on in the AOR email?
I checked this but I am unable to login..also someone told me it takes about couple of days to be able to login is that correct?...also it asks DOB, Family name, and COB...for those do I input my husband (applicants) information or mine (sponsors) information?

If you want to check the sponsorship application, you use the UCI which is the 8 digit one. Then use your info. You need to pick identification type Unique Client Identification.

The one for the principal applicant is the F123456789 one. No use checking that until the sponsor has been approved.

Also be careful at how you format your D.O.B on ECAS site... I made a number of failed attempts before realizing the date format should be MM/DD/YYYY, if you follow YYYY-MM-DD format as it's outline on ECAS website, you won't be successful.

Just another area CIC needs to be improved upon...

Thanks for responding...but I just got my AOR yesterday, so it seems like its going to take some time for them to update it online, so I won't be able to see the information anytime soon at the application status website...
Also will they send me an email for SA as well? Today is 28 days since our application was received and on the processing times it is shwoing 29 days I believe for SA...so hopefully I should receive my SA sometime by tomorrow...

I have been using the YYYY-MM-DD format for mine and my sponsor's account. No issue.
