btw, I definitely think now that the addition of the address indicates processing!

yeah that would make sense, they need to open at least one form in order to see the address and write it down; at least make a client id for him, etc, all the initial steps; but i wonder if it really means in process for all the embassies ;) wooow that would make me very happy but also very anxious in the same time :o (i don't want to get inpatient too soon)
what i noticed from many embassies in middle east is that they put in process and shortly after they issue the visa; i find it hard to believe that the whole process takes just a few days, maybe weeks with all the checks they have to do; so either ecas is not that real time or some officers update it randomly or other things and secrets....hmm....intriguing :P

Hi all!

Just wanted to share the great news: Got PPR today!! It couldn't be better timing as we are driving down to Los Angeles next week (for our anniversary party!) so we can take the passports to the LA office and pick them up the same day! We are very excited!! As my E-Cas still shows "in process" let's just all remember that in time things will happen..and even though we are kept in the dark, know that they are moving along! We definitely had our share of confusion and stress, given that until PPR today, we have never received anything in the mail from CIC or VO. Best of luck everyone....we'll check in again soon!

yaaaaay congrats i'm very happy for u :) not sure if u mentioned but did u finally get the sponsor approval letter or u'll get the visa before ;););) hihihi (or maybe it was someone else) but this i think i remember correctly: u didn't know where the file was, not sure if it was ever clear but wherever it was they were working on it and that's the most important ;);D

exactly! we still haven't received sponsor letter! oh well! :)

Me neither! And I could never get through after it had been 4 weeks to ask them to send it again like they told me to. Oh well, at least I know my file is in Mexico. Now I wish I knew that it was being worked on!

Congrats on your PPR, avocadosandcheese. I remember you had a couple of challenges but hey you actually got your PPR pretty fast consider Step 1 was so long!

I don't have any special update for the spreadsheet, but I got an email this morning asking for us to send documents proving our intent to reside in Canada.

We're gonna get some stuff together in the next day or two and send it mega express (along with an e-mail with all docs as attachments too). Don't want this to slow us down!! But am a little relieved to finally hear something. They are definitely looking at it!

Hey Amoss, Are u a Canadian citizen or a Permanenet Resident?

I am a Canadian citizen, born and raised. But maybe they are worried because I haven't actually lived much in Canada for the past 8-9 years??? dunno

It is normal. Every Canadian living outside Canada has to prove they will move back. I had an offer of employment letter for BC with my original app but I had to email the VO because we are moving to Ontario instead. I moved in April and emailed my Ontario license, OHIP paperwork and B4. So they shouldn't have to ask for proof now. But I am back in California until hubby gets his PR. However I am technically a visitor in California although it doesn't seem like it.

Hi All!

Happy to hear things are moving on for everyone!

I'm not sure if someone's asked this before...and I don't know if it means anything... My file on ecas changed to 'In Process' and 'we started processing your application on June 20, 2012.' My file was transferred to Sydney VO on June 6.

Does anyone have any experience on the time on when that status appears and when a Decision Made happens (or whatever's next?) Or am I just freaking out about nothing!! ::)

Thanks :)

You'll need to ask Sydney people because every VO is different but I will say that IN PROCESS is an awesome thing to see and I wish I had that on ecas!

me too.....the elation of approval is fastly wearing off!!!!!!

Wow, I've been gone awhile but it seems like there has been plenty of activity on here. Congrats to EVERYONEwo has received their PR already, and best of luck to all of those still waiting!

Are there any January members going through the Singapore VO out there still? Any idea on how things are going? I have heard that the process could be 6 months with smooth sailing and no request for an interview, but maybe I'm just overly optimistic and it really will be the full 22 months!

Thanks Canadiangirl78, aw yours is coming!! I don't even know if it means anything different to what it said before anyway! Still have to wait..

That's a good question tho - anyone going thru Sydney VO ?

Good luck to all
