ohh wao i can see that you have travel history for 1n Half year .... man i am thinking that what they gonna check on mine because for the company i am working i travel almost every week to different countries in EU and sometimes in USA and to middle east lol so they gonna check me all or just they gonna check from PARIS & PAKISTANN
yes i wish everyone add their travel history to timeline so we can compare processing times according to travel history. i think they will be doing background checks for stay more than 6 months not for business trips. in your case it should be only for paris and pakistan. :)
good luck :)

I can finally log into ecas! I had a question though, I read some where on here that it usually updates every Tuesday.. but does ecas give more detailed updates as they start to process the case? Right now it only says app rec'd Feb 3rd, decision made may 2nd, med's rec'd.

Would I be able to see more info later?

No detailed information...I have been seeing those for months now, and so far nothing has changed. I have sent my passport to New Delhi, it seems like it has reached New Delhi Yesterday...and it seems like it was delivered at the office on Saturday (Are they open on Saturdays too?) or probably the Security picked it up...it says delivered and signed by office Stamp...hopefully it was delivered :P.... I dunno if New Delhi office will update...if they do, will let know....

welkin, I believe you sent your passport by DHL, correct? It's great that it was delivered safely, but how come DHL was willing to courier it for you since sending Indian passports through international mail is illegal? Or if you're Nepalese maybe that rule doesn't apply to you. i.e. your passport wasn't issued by the Indian govt so they won't bother about it?

If you dont mind me asking, I noticed both your VO's is ND. How long did you have to wait for PPR? and did they contact the person being sponsored directly for it via email? or letter in the mail?

Well I m Nepalese n I have Nepalese passport...I checked with the Nepalese embassy in USA n they told me that there is nothing at says it cannot be posted.....so I thought of giving it a shot. When I went to Dhl, they cautioned me that at times passports are seized by custom. But Dhl manual also said that it couldn't be sent by one individual to another individual but can be sent to embassies. As far as Indian passport...I m not sure.i don't u try contacting embassy in ur country n request them to send the passport through them.... Dhl personal said few embassies did that.....not so sure bat it though.....

Hi, pjmin:

Our PPR came 15 days after the notice of sponsorship approval. This was in line with people who were approved just before us - we all got the request within 13-15 days. The PPR email was sent to my husband, the applicant. So far all communication has been via email - I'm really happy about that as mail delivery may be a bit iffy where he lives.

Delhi won't add an update for this on ecas so I don't actually know for sure that they have it; I'm just going by the "delivered" status on the courier's online tracking tool.
